It`s his fan manga. He created it and he can do whatever he wants with it.

I was just commenting on the fact that you stated that he was ruining DBM. How can he ruin something that wouldn`t even exist if not for him?

You can dislike the fan manga and think that it sucks and etc, but stating that the creator is ruining it and/or that he should be removed from the specials just doesn`t make sense.

At this point, people are complaining about people complaining about people complaining. It's a vicious cycle, and for what? And why? Because someone differs from your opinion? What sort of argument is "it's free so you can't complain"? I'm free to complain about whatever I want, if I feel it's not good enough, I complain.

And yes, the author can ruin his own work. In my opinion Toryama could have done many things better, but hey, I'm not even gonna go there because I know there will be a bunch of people on my neck like a pack of rabid wolves.

I wasn`t even saying he couldn`t criticize DBM. I was just basically saying that I didn`t find any logic in what he was saying. I was just disagreeing with him.

And by the way... The right to an opinion works both ways. No one is stopping anyone from having an opinion and expressing it, but that doesn`t mean that everyone will agree with that opinion and that someone can`t disagree with it adding their own reasons for it. That`s why its called a conversation or discussion and not a monologue. They are very different situations. And since this is a forum, its actually very important to tell them apart.

As for the point I was trying to make... I simply don`t find any logic in stating that Salagir should be replaced... In DBGT, on second thought, I actually get what Senzu_bean was trying to say because Toei hired writers to do it. They could have just hired someone else more capable. So, actually, DBGT could have existed in another form, perhaps a better one, even using the same or similar concepts.
As for DBM, this isn`t the case. DBM exists because Salagir, in collaboration with other people, decided to do this fan manga. The very existence of the manga is indissociable with the fact that Salagir is its author. Nobody hired him, its his idea. So it simply wouldn`t exist. Thinking of others that would do this fan manga even better is just wishful thinking and not a plausible possible reality because they really are indissociable.

That is the reason why I stated that I didn`t find any sense in that idea personally, and that has nothing to do with trying to silence people`s opinions, like you might believe.

Basically, saying that the fan manga is crap or whatever is not the same and has nothing to do with saying that someone else should do this fan manga. And its this last idea that I just don`t find very logical. And I`m disagreeing with the idea, I`m not saying that Senzu_bean or anyone else can`t have or can`t express this idea.

As for taking arguments out of proportion, yes, I agree, it happens way too often around here, and its also my fault because I always get the felling that I`m not expressing myself clearly enough for people to understand all of what I´m trying to say. This is true many times, but its also not true many times, and so, also because of me, some arguments are actually blown out of proportion. But I want everyone to fully understand all of what I`m saying, even if they don`t agree, so that will continue to happen sometimes.

And for the record, it seems like it's been forever since we have seen an actual fight in the Tournament between some "normal" characters. Like with the Super Humans, Bra, Neko Majin ect. Which we started to read this manga for.

I hope that won't happen. The afterlife and the living world are two separated dimensions. It isn't like you can travel North in space and end up on Hell.

Actually, if you look at the DB cosmos map, the afterlife is just sitting there on top of the universe. So if you flew 'up' high enough, you'd eventually reach the underside side of hell. It's the same with the Demon realm, it's just this little section down at the 'bottom' of the big old ball that is the DB universe.

Actually, Toriyama said that the map of the DB cosmos wasn't a literal representation of the universe; he simply drew it the way he did to make it easy to understand for the readers.

Well, I don't know if that necessarily means the map isn't supposed to be literal, just that he didn't want to use a design for the DB cosmos that was too difficult to understand.
