Originally I'd say Goku is a normal Super Saiyajin on that picture because his hair isn't spikey at all.

But on that second picture posted few posts below OP, he doesn't have spikey hair but there he has the 3 spikes down his head. (which he has as SSJ 2)

So, I can't tell.

In other movies, it's all right, SSJ2 against Bojack...only in the movie 10 appears SSJ2 Goku , but he used this power in movie,have no reason.

While the topic of Broly is taking place, I recently came across this on another forum:



I was told it was from Daizenshuu #7 and that it shows Gohan's SSJ and SSJ2 forms in the movies... but I'm pretty sure these are Toriyama concept arts. Does anyone know where this image is from?

Also, Gohan has had one strand of hair as a regular SSJ in the manga before. Is there anything besides the hair strand that would indicate he's SSJ2 in movie 10?

There's nothing really concrete aside from the hair; he had 1 one strand during his fight with Broly and 2 strands during the Kamehameha struggle at the end.

The sketches show a clear and distinct difference in design and intent, which strongly indicates Gohan was intended as an SSj2 for the first part of his fight with Broly in Movie 10. But he's still by far the weakest SSj2 at that point in the series, even compared to his past self. He actually managed to stun and move Broly with his blows, far more than anyone in Movie 8 did, which indicates the two of them were close in power, regardless of which level of power that is. If Gohan is a Super Saiyan 2, as much as I also dislike the idea, it just means Broly's been bumped up from a movie equivalent of Perfect Cell to Super Perfect Cell. Goku or Vegeta could still beat him.

Oh, and the number of bangs alone isn't much of a good indicator. From the 25th Budokai and onward, Gohan only had one bang regardless of which Super Saiyan form he was in. The "extra little bang" at Super Saiyan 1 was only ever present during the Great Saiyaman and pre-tournament training period.

Gohan probably just got a haircut prior to the tournament.

Besides the sketch that shows Gohan is a Super Saiyan 2 in Movie 10, there's also the sketch that shows Broly did indeed get stronger between his appearances. So it makes sense for Gohan to be a Super Saiyan 2 anyway. If Broly's as strong as Perfect Cell in Movie 8 and then gets stronger, there's no possible way for FPSSjin Gohan to do any damage to him at all.

Btw, here's the sketch of Broly. I'm sure everybody's seen it before anyway.

The picture in the OP looks like they are all just basic ssj1s.

But In regards to Darkprince's post unless it's direct Anime/movie footage, it doesn't really matter anyway.
