Oh November, how far off you are~!!
I hope Wasted Wisher can pop in and give us anymore of an idea of what production is like.
Man, they should totally show snippets of the new animation in television promos!!

Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
Not a rehash [.......well I guess technically, but a rehash from 1993], but I was buying this game anyway, so it's just extra for me.
I'm confused... the animation will be available at the very beginning? Like the whole thing? What's the fun in that? They should break it up so we unlock part of it as we go along.

I think I almost let out a tear. This is so awesome. Way to surprise the living shit out of me, Namco Bandai. Screw the haters, Raging Blast 2 has the fricking OVA remake!

Here's a question for those of you super familiar with Funi's current pool of talent. Who would be a good dub voice for Raichi? I'm not familiar enough with the character or Funi's current dub work to know what the best fit would be.

Grant James, John Swasey, or Andy Mullins would be a good fit.Eddie wrote:Here's a question for those of you super familiar with Funi's current pool of talent. On that note, do you think the actor who played Raichi in the OVA would come back to play him in RB2?

I take it nobody noticed #13 in the bottom-right corner of the poster?

Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
I'll buy it used for cheap a few months from release. Maybe I'll rent it when it comes out. I want the new animation but no way am I paying $60 for it.Taku128 wrote:I'm sure someone will upload the new animation to youtube. Hell, I'm considering renting the game to do so myself.Chuquita wrote:I'd really like to be able to see the new animation on the living room TV.
But I really don't have any interest in RB2 itself.

'Eradicate remake FTW!
A Dragon Ball/Urusei Yatsura crossover would be awesome.
Having Toshio Furukawa balance between Piccolo and Ataru would be hilarious.

Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
Does anybody else find it a little strange that the scan claims the "30-minute anime" will play as the opening sequence? That's kind of disappointing, y'know? Like, why couldn't we have the video as a "Special Feature" or "2-Disc Special Edition" and then also a brand new animated intro as well.

There might be some kind of feature. And I'm pretty confident in a new animated intro.Innagadadavida wrote:Does anybody else find it a little strange that the scan claims the "30-minute anime" will play as the opening sequence? Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
Huh, that's disappointing. I was hoping the remake would get its own game, maybe even turn out to be the 3DS title.
Raging Blast 2, eh? Well, I'll be getting a PS3 fairly soon, so I guess I'll have to look into getting this now. I'm iffy about it, since the last incarnation of this game that I played (Sparking! METEOR) was just so damn boring and repetitive. I planned on picking up Burst Limit and skipping over Raging Blasts 1 and 2, but I guess this'll forcibly change my mind.
Like someone said already, if the 'Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans' footage is put on YouTube, it'll probably be someone's really bad AMV.

Re: Raging Blast 2 is Alive!
Oh, I misunderstood and thought the animation was part of a bonus game, rather than just an OVA on its own. That's a shame... still gives me more interest in a game I already intended on buying eventually.
Or I might get it brand new and just trade in some games to get it for free.

I loved the OVA. Just rewatched it and it was a lot better than some of the movies, especially movie 8.
