FUNimation & "Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans" Remake Plans

With the "Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans" remake being included in Raging Blast 2, will this push Funimation to bring out the original as an extra in the Dragon Box, a separate release, or maybe stream it on their site? Also, I wonder on the PS3 if the video will be 1080p?

You know, actually I feel the opposite. I think that if we hadn't gotten the original PtEtS at this point. Then all hopes just went down the drain since we'll be getting the same storyline but in newer animation. I just don't see them going through the trouble of releasing it at this point.

They could have included them both on a bonus DVD with the game. I'd certainly pay extra for that, even if it was only in a limited edition.

I hope FUNimation/Namco Bandai releases the OVA as a pre-order bonus or something with Raging Blast 2. I don't see them releasing it separately, though.

Anyone see that one screen cap from the remake of "Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans" on the Dragon Ball Wiki? It looks like they're going to use the same style that they used for "Dragon Ball: Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!!" Also, if anyone hasn't realized it yet, the remake of "Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans" will be the first time the US gets a new Dragon Ball anime at the same time as Japan. Lets just hope along with the dub they include the Japanese language track along with subtitles.

Well, it's originally from Gamestop, I believe. It's been discussed at length already in the Video Games section of the forum. There's even a couple comparisons over there too.

You could argue that the U.S. has Kai at the same time as Japan, unless you specifically mean at the "exact same time".

To my knowledge no they didn't, they're really not missing out on much though.

As far as Funimation releasing "Plan to Eradicate the Saiya-jins" it really depends upon whether or not they purchased the actual footage from Toei when they got the Dragon Box masters. From what I understand this is still unknown (if I'm wrong please let me know, I've been somewhat out of the loop over the past few months). If they did then they will most likely realease it because otherwise it would just be a total waste of money. If they didn't then I doubt they'd bother seeing as the remake is coming and they'll probably be dubbing it.

We know from that scan that it won't be neither Z or Kai in Japan.
I am not from the USA, but I think Funimation will throw a "Z" at the title, like it did with Kai.

I think it's gonna be "Z Kai" because the last Kai game that's have been released and re-titled to "Z" is because Kai haven't been released in US at that time.

I would still count it as Z, as it's during that timeline, and Kai is a redrawing and this is a whole new [everything] its not them just do-doing footage; this is making new footage. [I'm sure that didn't get my point across too well]

If anything, they would use a few Kai voices, the Kid Gohan voice would do the 12 yr old Gohan right? Most everyone else from the movie kept their voice, except we haven't made it to Future Trunks yet. ....God I hope oh so much that Laura Bailey is still doing Kid Trunks, since they cut her out for Dende already.

It's probably going to just be under "Dragon Ball", like Raging Blast 2. Changing it to "Z" or "Z Kai", would be pointless.

So, is it confirmed that this will be actual animation, like cartoon? Or might this be in-game graphics? Personally, I've been thinking (and praying for) the prior, but just recently a friend brought to my attention the possibility of it being CG or in-game graphics.

I'm really excited for this...it's the only reason I am even buying Raging Blast 2 (hated the first game).

Does it make me a bad person that I am only buying the game for the new animation? XD;
