Question about Blu Rays / Dragon Box Movies

Question about Blu Rays / Dragon Box Movies

Hey, I've been trying to find screen shot comparisons of this. Has anybody compared the Blu Rays to an upscaled Dragonbox image?

Just curious if Funimations Blu Ray releases of the movies are actually better at the higher resolution then the DBOX would be upscaled

Well, for one, you can't just take a 480p screen shot from the Dragon Boxes, upscale it to 720p, and expect it to look anything like something that's already encoded at 720p. Even though the Blu-rays are based on lower resolution footage, it is possible to upscale it to something of acceptable quality, or at least better than what any of us could do. I'm not sure on all the technical details, but I just don't see how comparing the two is even feasible.
