Personally, I don't get the logic behind editing even more content just because it's a free, syndicated network as opposed to a premium cable network (which is to say, Nicktoons). I mean, they're both rated Y-7, but for some reason the freely-available network is edited more. Did they do the research and figure out that kids whose parents pay for premium cable networks are less susceptible to moral corruption and can therefore handle more?

It's because the FCC actually regulates network TV, whereas for cable and premium, the networks make their own regulations.

But, Network TV has it's own regulators as well to prevent themselves from getting fined millions of dollars. Those people are the ones who said no bullets in a kid's show.

How stupid does 4kids think American kids are? A shotgun shoots glowing bullets, really? At least 4kids is acknowledging that Dragon Ball and Yu-Gi-Oh! are in fact Japanese, with the whole "Toonzai" thing they've got going on.

Edit 2: When Raditz lands on Earth and the farmer shoots him, there are two edits. The first is the gun blast sound is edited so that it doesn't sound like a shot gun, the second is the bullet itself. It was re-colored a neon blue color!

Could of been worst, they would of turned the shotgun into a water gun like what they did in One Piece.

This is all very sad. Very sad indeed. If they're gonna butcher everything, including the damn opening, why not just go all out and do one of their famous replacement jobs? At least then it would be so absurd I could laugh at it. Something like this... *ahem*

You guys forget just how strict Saturday-morning television can be; it's not normally as easy to notice, because American shows are animated with that in mind rather than censored afterward. Anyone who remembers the '90s Spider-Man animated series can attest to this, what with the lasers and no direct contact from Spider-Man by his fists. I really do wonder why they even try adapting martial arts shows to Saturday morning standards these days...
