Goku second Death ?
Goku second Death ?
Hi Guys this is my first post … so please be nice ? I have a question about dragon ball I just realize. I read dragon ball manga last week. It was so good it took me about 4 days... 42 volumes. Here is my question.
How come they didn’t revive Goku after his second death? I know you can’t revive someone a second time but this time it was different. Example
They revive Goku the first time after the Raditz fight, But with Kami-sama dragon ball.
But this time they had Dende but then I can understand why it will probably will not work because is still had the dragon Shenron but is still could work sense is Dende magic.
So why they couldn’t use Namekian dragon ball … didn’t they go to another planet get dende in the first place. Hey somehow they revive krillion for 100th time... okay not really but you get my point.
They ask porunga dragon to revive Goku before, after the fight of Freeza they thought he died with the blast but then Porunga dragon said “no I can’t do it because he already alive “. That’s when Goku stayed at the planet Yardrat to train Instant Transmission.
I hope this make sense. Did I miss anything when I was reading it?
Thank you very much I know this was long.
I know at the end Goku came back to life and happy ever after ... but still those missing 7 year... poor chichi .

I think Goku wanted to stay dead.

Son wanted to stay dead. He felt as if he was a kind of "magnet" to bad guys.
Plus, he was able to get tons of great training up there (yeah, he's selfish like that).
Besides, he'd see them when they died anyway.

Okay thanxs now I remember now... I read the 42 books less than 4 days so it was messing up my head .. I forgot he did wanted to stay dead. Now I kinda remember.
Re: Goku second Death ?
You've got your answer, but I just wanted to add that Kaio also stayed dead, even though the wish to bring back everyone killed by Cell probably should have revived him. It seems like he was able to just refuse to come back to life (Goku says that Kaio chose to stay dead to keep him company, however that works), which Goku possibly also did when they tried to wish him from Yardrat back to Earth. I just think that's interesting.
Another thing to note is that Dende tells them right before the Cell Game that the new dragon balls can't bring back people who have already come back once. He apologized and said that he should have mentioned it before, when they were coming up with the new rules for them. This then gets proven when they wish for everyone killed by Cell to return, but Goku stays dead.
No one actually suggests using the Namekian dragon balls in the manga, at least as far as I know. This would be hard to accomplish anyway, since Goku was the only one who could get to New Namek, and that was with Kaio's help. Technically speaking, no one on Earth knows where it is! But Goku told them not to even try bringing him back, so yeah.

Actually it wouldn`t be hard at all. Instead of wishing that the androids had their bombs removed they could have wished that the Dragon teleported them to the new planet Namek. Once there, they would explain the situation to the Nameks and they would allow them to use their dragon balls. The gang would use one wish to bring back Goku and another for them to go back to Earth.Bussani wrote:

Simple, really.
Goku didn`t come back because Toriyama didn`t want to "cheapen" his sacrifice and he felt that it would be better for the story that he remained dead. So he made Goku want to stay dead.

It wouldn't be that hard if they really wanted.Bussani wrote:No one actually suggests using the Namekian dragon balls in the manga, at least as far as I know. Kaiou was a victim and he could contact the namecks.
And in Earth They could ask to Shenlong to teleport someone to Namek or something like that..
Goku and kaiou wishes to not revive just made the things faster....

On the first chapter and first page of Buu saga, there's a Kamesennin saying that Gohan will be the protagonist.
It would be impossible with Goku alive.
But Akira changed his mind while writing buu saga.

I was only thinking about what the Earth people could have done, really.EnmaDaiou wrote:Kaiou was a victim and he could contact the namecks.

Perhaps should watch the episode in Japanese, or grab the SJ ish where it happens to check, but remember in the dub, Yamcha asked to revive everyone on Earth killed by Cell, and since King Kai wasn't on Earth or from there, I thing that's why he wasn't included.
Re: Goku second Death ?
That's probably not accurate. In Viz's translation he just says, "Everyone Cell killed." Piccolo then makes a comment about not sensing Goku's ki, as though he'd had a small hope that he really could have come back from the wish even though he'd died somewhere other than Earth.Super Sonic wrote:Perhaps should watch the episode in Japanese, or grab the SJ ish where it happens to check, but remember in the dub, Yamcha asked to revive everyone on Earth killed by Cell, and since King Kai wasn't on Earth or from there, I thing that's why he wasn't included.

Yeah, that's not accurate (the thing Super Sonic was saying, that is). Viz is perfectly accurate here, and Goku even mentions that Kaio could have potentially been revived with the wish, but refused.Bussani wrote:That's probably not accurate.
