Dragonball video-games battle powers
Does anyone know what battle powers are given in the video-games? I believe Dragonball Wiki has a list on those but I don't want to go in there since, you know, they even listed "Veku's" battle power.

Re: Dragonball video-games battle powers
In Dragon Ball Sagas (which goes up to Cell Saga), they list the Power Level of every villain until Soba (an original villain fought after Freeza). They show the Power Level in the boss' intro. I believe most of these come from there.
I recall the SNES Dragon Ball RPG (the one with the cards, mind you), has this somewhere, but I can't confirm... I think there's either an item that shows this, or when you use an attack, it says its attack power.

When you use the Scouter card, it reads the opponent's Battle Power.
Most of them look like they're taken straight from the Daiz.

Re: Dragonball video-games battle powers
There are stated battle powers in Attack fo the Saiyans as well. Every enemy in the game has one, including the characters that are bosses. Interestingly enough, I think it's the only time where a battle power for the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai is given for anything. It's only Piccolo, but I think it was right smack around 400 or so. Every other battle power seems to follow the manga and guidebooks pretty well. For instance, if I remember correctly, Vegeta was at 18,000. It'll get interesting if there's a sequel or two made and it goes up to Cell. Then would they still give battle powers? Or would it be obsolete?

I hated that game, never got past Vegeta Oozaru. I cringed everytime I kicked him in the face and he didn't even move.
And he used two attacks per turn.

Those would be a nice addition, but given the explanation in the Daiz regarding Battle Powers growing to the point where they're incalculable, I'd say they wouldn't mean much in terms of importance or canon.
It would be a nice addition, tho.

Most of those card RPGs predate the daizenshuu though.Super Saiyan Turlast x4 wrote:Most of them look like they're taken straight from the Daiz.
I've heard that in Gekishin Freeza, Ginyu's BP is 160,000. I'd assume they'd have to make deviations from the source material like this for game play reasons.
On the other hand, in Attack of the Saiyans the BPs actually have nothing to do with the battle system. That is, they're a general label for how strong characters are, but they're not the real stats used to determine how much damage their attacks do, how high their defense or speed are, etc. I used to have the V-Jump guide to the game, which gave the real stats for everyone, which are like a traditional RPG. If I remember right, Nappa was level 40, Vegeta level 50, and Broli level 80 or something. The BPs were in general a reliable way to tell which enemies were strong, mind you, but you couldn't take them too literally. An enemy with a BP of 3,000 wouldn't have twice the attack of an enemy with a BP of 1,500, for instance. Vegeta's stat's certainly weren't over 4 times higher than Nappa's, either. An amusing thing was that regular Vegeta's BP was given as 18,000 and Oozaru Vegeta as 180,000, but Oozaru Vegeta's actual stats were a bit weaker than regular Vegeta's.

Re: Dragonball video-games battle powers
I gave a look into Dragonball Wiki (oh God!) and according to them those battle powers are listed in Dragon Ball Z: Super Saiya Densetsu:
Zarbo (transformed): 30,000
Gurd: 13,500
Reacoom: 65,000
Jheese: 64,000
Butta: 62,000
Jheese & Butta: 95,000
Is anyone able to confirm them?

Re: Dragonball video-games battle powers
Wow, Jeese & Burter so much higher than Recoome? Insane. And I thought 60k was enough to beat the Ginyu Force...?
Also, Zarbon at 30k, same as Vegeta? Ehhh.

Re: Dragonball video-games battle powers
95,000 is suppose to be their battle power combined or something like that.Nazi Cola wrote:Wow, Jeese & Burter so much higher than Recoome?
Re: Dragonball video-games battle powers
Oh, then they'd end up weaker if dividing by 2, but I guess that makes a lot more sense than them individually being 1.4x stronger than him.Senzu_Bean wrote:95,000 is suppose to be their battle power combined or something like that.Nazi Cola wrote:Wow, Jeese & Burter so much higher than Recoome?
