Because he's never reffered to such in official materials from Toei or Shueisha. FUNimation doesn't decide what his name or is not.

I was just pointing out that YES, that is what Funimation calls him and since they seem to be picking and choosing what they do and don't change and at what times to and not to change them, it was a possibility for it to be in again.

If it was enough for a game company to put it into their game, I'm sure Funi remembers them doing so.

If you don't remember it, go back and check it out, it is there. You can't use "I don't remember" as an excuse to dismis something that was included.

My point was that it's obscure. Just because it exists doesn't mean everyone remembers it as well as you do. You can't honestly and objectively compare it to something as prominent as Hercule or Frieza. It's a name mentioned twice(?) ever for a very minor character.

Those episodes were dubbed ten years ago, and Budokai 1 was released eight years ago. Just because they remembered the name two years later doesn't mean they'll remember it ten years later. Especially with all the staff changes they've gone through over the years. If a bunch of nerds don't remember it, what are the odds that FUNimation's punch-up writers do? Pretty low, is what I've been trying to say.

Sabat was in charge of those things for the show back then.....Sabat is in control of those things now. My point was just that his official Dub name IS Jimmy Firecracker, whether some people remember it or not, has been that way for the past decade, as you said yourself.

Yes, but he's tried for a far better dub, putting his now years of experience to work on a better product. So, I doubt it will be retained, as he might have fewer appearances.
