Yeah, I now take it as a shoutout to Torishima, who didn't want Gero and #19 to be the main villains.
Too bad we didn't get to see much of Gero in the series, but it's nice with this lookalike.
Well he actually did want them to be the main villains, his freakin meddling editor didn't.

Seeing as how this isn't licensed in the or any other countries yet, would it be okay to just post the link here?

And we can't, then a quick Google-search could probably find it for anyone.

It's funny reading people's desperate attempts to tie this to the Dragonworld (that's saying a lot, coming from me :P). People are saying the main character is probably descended from Goku and Vegeta's offspring and that the warrior who took out hundreds of soliders was Goku vs the Red Ribbon Army.

Anybody know why this was so short and suddenly turned to crap? The other one-shots are 50-60 pages, whereas this one was around 30, the last 10 of which were rushed and pretty shitty. Certainly not one of Toriyama's best. :(

I loved it. This is the closest we'll get to new Dragon Ball, folks. New Toriyama!

Some of those designs are definitely Dragon Ball inspired. Dr. Gero anyone? And I thought one of those bad guys kinda looked like Tao Pai Pai :)

I just read it. What a cool one-shot! It's a bit like Dragonball, but it's detached enough from it that it isn't weighed down by the legacy and canon of Dragonball! With the way it ended, I wish it was an ongoing series!

Wow!

I just flicked through a couple of pages out of curiousity, and man, the art is craptacular. :?

Agreed. Lots of re-used character designs as the main characters, the action sequences were weak and unimpressive and the BGs were more empty than his typical wastelands. I kind of see why his previous manga lately have been collabs; he looks tired of writing conventional manga.
