My apologies if this isn't Dragonball-related enough, but there's been threads dedicated to other Toriyama announcements before, so I hope it'll be okay.
Anyhow, the most recent issue of Weekly Jump announced an upcoming series of one-shots done by some of the magazine's most notable authors - Kishimoto (Naruto), Sorachi (Gintama), Konomi (Prince of Tennis), Usuta (Jaguar), Akimoto (Kochikame) - and of course Toriyama himself.
Nothing is really known about the one-shot yet, but it'll be published in issue 50 of Jump, which will be on sale in mid-November. Look forward to it.

Wow, looks really interesting. I wonder what it'll be about.

It'll probably be a gag Manga. Which, admittedly, doesn't interest me too greatly.

I'd like to pick up both Toriyama's and Kishimoto's! Looks like I'll be making some trips down to Sanseido Books!

Baseball, huh?
That could actually work.
I think all the comics are going to be like that; completely different stories/characters/settings just by familiar authors.
I'm kinda sad there's no Oda oneshot, but considering the huge number of designs and redesigns he's probably working on, I don't think he has the spare time.
On hiatus.

In Naruto's early volumes, there were some notes from Kishimoto about his early life with manga. And there was a part with a sketch-page about a Baseball manga.
Kishimoto himself used to be a Baseball player.

Didn't know he was a Baseball player at one point; that sort of experience could really benefit his upcoming oneshot.
I enjoy baseball so I'm looking forward to it; the promo art looks a bit different too so that should be interesting.
I hope they have promo art for all these upcoming comics the week before they run.
On hiatus.

Looks a bit like Goku, so I really hope so.

Not because the one-shot will be Dragon Ball related, but because that is his moneymaker series. Kishimoto's name has Naruto next to it, but it is obvious the one-shot is about baseball.

Always glad to hear about a new work from Toriyama. I just wonder if it'll be him drawing it, or doing the story with Katsura doing the artwork, like his previous recent works?

I don't know, I'm pretty sure that Oda didn't even get much of a break and he's probably long past having the new designs and redesigns.
The "break" was never really a break for
him from what I've heard, it was a break to signify the you know what. (not going to bring One Piece spoilers into this topic. =P)
Anyway, I'm wondering what this Toriyama one-shot will be. Definitely won't be a Dragon Ball one, although it would be cool if it were one, at least in my opinion.

It's always great to see something new from Toriyama. He is, after all, one of my favorite artists (right after Bruce Timm and Frank Frazetta). Gotta be honest though I'm not really a baseball fan but it could be weirdly funny.

Toriyama's one-shot won't have anything to do with baseball (at least not from anything we've heard so far). Rather, it's Kishimoto's one-shot that will be baseball-related, based on the picture and its title.
Toriyama did tackle baseball at one point during Dr. Slump, when Arale and friends play against an American team made up of guys with names such as "Fried Chicken".

I will. But I'll be prepared for disappointment.

Kintoki huh? (Not sure if that is the full name of the one-shot or what.)
Looks like a cross of Great Saiyaman, Beelzebub, and someone from Dragon Quest...

"Kintoki"?! Something tells it'll be full of "BALLS" jocks! Just ask Gintoki from Gintama.
