Herms' Guide Guide (Collection of Information Awesomeness)

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

I have being thinking... why doesn't Kanzentai have all of these guides of yours? Unless it has and I didn't yet find them. :|

So far only the Demon Guide and the Personal Pronoun Guide are up on Kanzentai, under the Mini-DB Guide section, but the plan is to eventually add the rest. It's just that it takes awhile to make the necessary scans and pages, and there are so many other things to work on at Kanzentai.

Anyway, I've updated the Guide Guide with both new stuff and some other things I just kinda forgot about. The new ones are Goku's Clothes, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the DB Galaxy, On the 4 Galaxies, Name-Pun Round Up, Daizenshuu 7: Item Dictionary, and Toriyama's Contributions to the Anime.

For those keeping track of such things, this has recently been updated to include "Toriyama’s Contributions to the Anime", "The Longest Days", "The Many Names of Majin Boo", "The Human Condition", "GT Perfect Files on Stuff", "Toriyama's Intended Ending(s): A Guided Tour". So far, I still haven't included my translation review of the first 5 volumes of Viz. I guess it's because the plan was originally to add it once I'd finishing writing reviews for all 42 volumes, but since that obviously never happened I just never got around to putting it in here. Well, I'll throw it in there soon I guess.

It would be nice, if you did, because, when I search for it in the search function it says, that there were no suitable matches found.
You would think it could find it, when I put Viz as "Keyword" and Herms as "author", but it didn't.
Anyways here it is, so you don't have to go through the trouble of finding it :D

This is one of the only stickies on this entire forum that's actually worth being stickied. Good call, to whoever did it.

Well that's nice and backhanded...

That being said, yeah, it's a great collection of information, and a showcase of how we all use the forum as a test-bed for the website content that we ultimately end up generating :).

Before this, all of Herms fascinating posts backed by a ton of research and book-worthy writing get buried under "I'm selling my old VHSs" and "What if Goku was a girl?". Meanwhile, more irrelevant threads like "AF Prank" and "Bobobo parody" are stickied on top and haven't had posts or views in years. Now we have some of the greatest content to ever come out of these message boards permanently placed on top for the world to see.

That's what I meant to say. Looking back, my wording was more harsh than what I really meant.

Which is a great idea apparently..
@VegettoEX
I tried searching for this topic, before it got stickied, but as I said in the post above Inagaddavida it didn't work.
How can that be? It should have worked, even though I only used "viz" as keyword and "Herms" as author.

Won't that just find every thread where Herms has posted and someone's said "Viz"? The search function is a bit difficult at times.

Heh, Herms got sticky.

@dbgtFO: Searches have to be four letters or more. A pain in the ass, I know.

Ooh, that Age guide is really nice. I always have trouble keeping track of Gohan's age. Also, Vegeta is 60 in GT. What.

That explains it then.
EDIT: I tried putting in the most random word ever and then an information box popped up explaining at least 1 word has to be written and its minimum amount of characters it has to contain is 3.
And still "viz" doesn't work...

So did I, but a certain Mr. Herms occasionally forgets to update this Guide Guide with his works from time to time. So the ones he doesn't get around to adding are still a pain to find when they get buried. I'm actually the one who bugged him into updating it this last time, because I was looking for one of the guides he didn't have in here and was getting a little mad at the search function.
