Elder Kaioshin age?

Post by Senzu_Bean » Sat Dec 04, 2010 11:23 am

I'm a bit confused regarding Elder Kaioshin age. Does he aged inside the Z Sword? I'm asking cause each Kaioshin generation is 5 million years yet Elder Kaioshin was locked inside the sword about 75 million years. But if each generation begin and end when a Kaioshin dies isn't it impossible for them to live 75 million years?

I always assumed that he simply didn't age in the sword. I mean he got his old, haggard look from fusing with that fugly witch. I picture him being in some sort of suspended animation.

Generations aren't necessarily equivalent to someone's lifespan. Definitions vary, but in the US for instance the legal definition of a generation is 20 years.

Yea I think he aged in there, but that's not the reason he looks like that. I don't think Kaioshins ever age looks wise I would guess. Kaioshin is what 5 million years old and he looks fine. Elder only looks like that because of the witch.

But yes he ages in there. Elder only thinks he has roughly about 1,000 years left. Unless he only had a 1,000 years left 15 generations ago, he indeed does age.

The elder East Kaioshin fused with a female witch.

I remember Old Kai saying something like you wonder how I'm still alive. So from that I would guess he didn't age inside of the Z Sword. His old look would just be from fusing with that witch like you guys have been saying.

So you think Elder was towards the end of his life prior to entering the Z sword? You know what that probably makes sense. Elder being able to survive 15 generations implies that 15 generations have come and died right?

That seems more likely.

But aren't Kaios replaced when and only when one dies? The same in principle would be applied to Kaioshins.

Wouldn't it increase then?

Well from a common sense standpoint if the witch being added to Kaioshin did anything, I would guess it would shorten it.

Added a new life should generally increase lifespan I would guess, but adding an old person would certainly decrease wouldn't you think? I mean she's an old witch you know?

True. It's hard to bring logic to OtherWorld issues. That area generally doesn't apply to normal rules. So it's hard I don't know.

I remember reading in a Daizenshuu that Kaioshin lived for millions of years, so I would say that Elder has to be over 140 Million years old. King Kai was said to be around 2000 years old.
This takes me back early 97. I remember those days

I remember watch Dragonball on UPN or was in fox back in 1987. It air 4:00am in the morning.
