Yes, but Shenron was gone again for some reason.

I've gone back and re-watched some of the episodes side by side with the Nicktoons version particularly the Nappa - Tien fight.

-Tien's stump was black on Nicktoons, but it was colored as his skin color on CW.
-A lot of the shots with Tien's stump visible is cropped out, presumably to save the editor's time instead of coloring in the stump every frame.
-In the Nicktoons version, the blood around the stump is re-colored black but it's completely removed on CW.
-More Nicktoons blood-dirt on Tien's face cleaned off on CW.

I know I'm a little late to the party, but I just watched Chiaotzu dieing and couldn't help but do my best Tenshinhan impression.

"Hey look, it's winter! Come on guys, let's play in the snow! I'll get Chiaotzu."
This will never not be my sig:

I can't believe this is on-topic.

Shenron was removed from the intro again this week. How the hell is Funimation given the ability to remove background characters?

DBZ bootlegs have the movie 9 cover with the pioneer movie 2 description on the back and the disc actually has a Japanese soap opera in MEPG2.

You know someone made a point on a YouTube comment (Yes YouTube comment! :P )
But with Yamcha's "death", while the groans are suppose to leave the impression that he's still alive, it could be taken to another affect, that he's actually just dying a more slower and possibly painful death.

Kids probably wouldn't think like that, though. If they did, it would be an ultimate censorship fail.

He's still described as a dragon who grants wishes. I didn't even know Shenlong was a god until I read the manga. Nothing offensive, sexual or violent about a dragon (especially when it's part of the title of the show).

The only reason 4kids gave us is "Ad-content and BS&P reasons".

"Shen Long" is Chinese for "God Dragon".

...which is irrelevant when the dub renders his name as "Shenron", which means absolutely nothing in any language.

"Shen Long" is Chinese for "God Dragon".
"Kami" is Japanese for God, and they don't seem to mind that.

Well, if they pronounced it correctly, it would be, I guess, Japanese-Chinese, being a Japanese pronunciation of a Chinese word.

So I watched an episode today. Chaozu's death is really awkward with Ten screaming and Chaozu just kinda looking at him.

Is it just me, or did they mute Tien's scream after his arm got punched off?

Yes, I believe they muted Tenshinhan's scream and they also muted Chiaotzu's dialgoue when he was saying goodbye to Tenshinhan.

Just who decides these edits? Is there an old ex-elementary school principal lady sitting in an office in the CW's BS&P department watching the Nicktoons episodes and writing down notes on what she wants changed?

Here's a few edits I spotted in this week's episode:
1) ShenLong was removed from the intro. AGAIN.
2) The shot of Goku holding Nappa above his head with Gohan and Krillin watching was removed, and it instead cuts to when Goku tosses Nappa over to Vegeta.
3) Nappa's death has SPARKLES! OMGYAY! Ugggh....
