Great podcast as usual guys!

I have always been curious about Vegeta's history working under Freeza. Aside from seeing him in the Bardock special as a child and the anime filler we have not known much about Vegeta's working under Freeza. I would love if there was a special which revolved around him working for Freeza and seeing what kind of life he led (one can wish I guess). Maybe seeing more about how Zarbon mistreated him and why he hated Zarbon and Dodoria so much. Seeing him conquer planets with Raditz and Nappa as well.

Anything, to get to know more about Vegeta's back history would be great. There is just so much mystery to it and that is why I love any anime filler that shows it.

Another, thing would be just to see the history of Freeza and him ruling the universe and how it all began. I have always been interested in that stuff.

On a side note I didn't know that "TV Special 3" existed so it was cool listening to you guys review it. Keep up the great podcast.

Great and interesting podcast! I found out about this special on this forum shortly after I joined and I was always intrigued as what it was, as well as the New Year's Eve 1993 special. Hopefully you guys can do a review of the '93 special too!

I have always wondered about the previous 20 Tenkaichi Budokai tournaments as well. Just hearing the origin of how it all got started would satisfy my interest. Hearing about notable competitors from those tournaments, how the Tenkaichi Budokai stage might have looked in previous iterations, and just how the Tenkaichi Budokai has changed over the years would be interesting to me. Perhaps the announcer guy is the offspring of a previous announcer, or maybe Mutaito took participated in an early Tenkaichi Budokai. Who knows? There are many things I'd love to know about the history of the Tenkaichi Budokai...

...which reminds me. I have always wondered what the announcer guy's real name is. It would probably be a name pun if he had been given one...

Very fun listen to. I'm glad to see this piece finally get some exposure so we know exactly just the the heck it is. I wonder if Extreme Battle!! The Three Great Super Saiyans being the tenth over all movie played a part in why it received this special? Hmmm...

Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to seeing site pages written up on it!!

I haven't listened to the podcast yet, as I'm hoping Kei17 will put the special up for download sometime soon (since I'm assuming that's where you got it from) so I can watch it before I listen to the review.

That can't be. The tournament only goes back 100 years (the first 20 were held every 5 years), whereas Mutaito died sealing Piccolo away almost 300 years before the start of the series.

Interesting stuff on this podcast, yes. I've also wondered what kind of race is Freeza's. Is there females, or do they reproduce asexually like the Namekians? What's their history? Is King Cold and Freeza their most influential people, or are there more powerful (speaking politically) ones out there? Another thing I'm curious about is the history of Capsule Corp. How and when did Bulma's dad invent those capsules? Is there any competition to the company? Are they affordable enough for the middle class? Why is that cat on Bulma's Dad's shoulder so clingy?

Oh, that's right. It's been around 8 years since I last watched the Piccolo Daimao arc. My memory of that arc is very fuzzy...

I'd like to see Mr.Stan's rise to glory, just because it would probably be cute and funny and I wouldn't have to see Kuririn's long lost sister or Puar's wife.

For the record, I don't think anything is a said in the actual Piccolo story arc about when Piccolo was sealed away other than that it was "long ago", and it happened when Kame-sennin and Tsuru-sennin were young. In the RR arc though, Karin says that Kame-sennin climbed his tower about 300 years ago. So if Kame-sennin is at least 300 years old, and Piccolo was sealed away when he was young, that would by extension make it sometime around 300 years ago or later. The actual Daizenshuu 7 year for Piccolo getting sealed away is Age 461, and the Piccolo arc is in Age 753.

That makes sense.

I remember the bit about Kame-sennin climbing Karin's tower around 300 years ago, which is about 200 years before the first Tenkaichi Budokai. Looking at the Age Guide and the Timeline Evalution thread, the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai took place in Age 750. So if the Tenkaichi Budokai took place 100 years, that means the first tournament would've been Age 650.

So since Piccolo Daimao was sealed away in Age 461, that means that Mutaito would've died 199 years before the first Tenkaichi Budokai which was held in age 650, according to the Daizenshuu.

Is that about right, Herms?

I've wanted to know about Freeza's past and his race for a long time, and how he met his various subordinates. Maybe some sort of recruitment drive? Freeza gives a speech, then cookies and punch after?

I'm kind of interested in seeing if Muten Rôshi ever had a serious relationship in all of his years alive.

Or at least a love child he doesn't know about...

Pages? What pages? *looks away whistling and twiddling thumbs*

But yes, that will definitely happen at some point. We may have to get the two sites to collaborate, or something. :P

I would like to see this. Plus Mr.Stan and Mr.Buu adventures together. Toriyama could do a very good Gag manga with Buu and Mr.Satan.

Awesome podcast as always!

I've always wanted to know more about the Saiyan race, specially the royalty side of it (as Meri mentioned) but also more of Goku's family.
Yeah, Goku's mom, of course (i think it's just the mystery about her that drives me mad lol) but also Bardock's relationship with Raditz as well.

I did kinda get my "fix" of it with Toyble's "Dragon Ball Zero" doujinshi. Would've prefered Goku's mom instead of Tullece though

Awesome podcast this week, it's always intriguing when the topic is about something so obscure.

For the things that I would like to learn more of that'd be Son Gohan(Goku's adoptive parent); What did he do before finding Goku? How did he meet Roshi? Etc. I'd also like to see more of Grandpa Gohan and Goku together. I always found them so adorable and their relationship so heartwarming that I would love to see more of it.

I think considering the size of Freeza's army, he more likely offered free beer during the recruitment drives.

Followed, of course, by a near-impossible task that would result in the punishment of death for the ones that didn't complete said task and backhanded compliments to those who did. (Conquer new planet. Repeat process.)
