Re: Dragon Ball Unreleased Music Project
I just found out that the Korean dub uses instrumental insert songs, so they will be included in the collection as well. Only 2 are missing Son Goku Song & Red Ribbon Army. Some songs will have Korean dialogue & sound effects however unless kei17 knows how I can get it with no dialogue & sound effects

Re: Dragon Ball Unreleased Music Project
I wonder whether I can rip the music from FUNi's new DB movie 3 DVD or not because the old release didn't have a 5.1ch audio track.

Re: Dragon Ball Unreleased Music Project
I would think that the new DVD's of movies 2-4 have a 5.1 track. I wouldn't know as I don't have them.

I don't mean to take over the topic, but let me share some pieces.
My favourite track from the first recording.

True C3. The soundtrack CD has a piece named C3, but it is not the one played in the show and completely fabricated. Though I don't know exactly why they put such a phony track on the CD, I guess that the added Chinese gong sound is the cause. Maybe now they have only the volume-edited mono version and have lost the master tape.

Re: Dragon Ball Unreleased Music Project
I believe this track also has a slightly longer version that was used in DB episode 4 (?) and the traffic safety + fire brigade videos. Would you care to look into that for me? I'm feeling a bit too lazy to pop in the DVD right now.kei17 wrote:True C3. The soundtrack CD has a piece named C3, but it is not the one played in the show and completely fabricated. This is a collab effort between many people, so if you get a piece finished before I do just go ahead and upload it.kei17 wrote:I don't mean to take over the topic, but let me share some pieces.

M12 (or M14) Kenisu3000 counted this as the slowed-down version of M13, but this clearly is a different piece. You know, there is no way to slow down a music finely without a pitch change.

Do you happen to have any clue where one could even get the Doraemon OST nowadays? It seems to be ridiculously rare...kei17 wrote:By the way, I noticed that "Pasta's Bombs" sounds like an unreleased piece in Doraemon, composed by Shunsuke Kikuchi too.

CDJapan is still selling it. http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=COCX-31244Puto wrote:Do you happen to have any clue where one could even get the Doraemon OST nowadays? It seems to be ridiculously rare...
Re: Dragon Ball Unreleased Music Project
Only 7 of the tracks in that are actually BGM from the series... the rest is all either movie stuff or vocal songs.

The music from movies was often used in the TV series just like Dragon Ball.Puto wrote:Only 7 of the tracks in that are actually BGM from the series... the rest is all either movie stuff or vocal songs.

Re: Dragon Ball Unreleased Music Project
If you are talking about favorite tracks, I would kill for that one, first playing in the first episode (58) introducing Karin land and it's playing when Bora fights back the Red Ribbon army.
In Kenis guide listed as Bora thrashes Yellow's troops - Protecting The Land.
Simmilar track is playing during the third Tenkaichi Budokai, but it's only the beats and bass with different and not that mellodic line.

Re: Dragon Ball Unreleased Music Project
I wish that there was some way to get Columbia Records to release the rest of the major Dragon Ball BGM's. Sadly, I don't see that happening.
I can understand that they don't have to release all of the BGM, but they can at least release a good amount (let's say 19/20ths out of All the BGM instead of just 1/4th.)
Kinda off topic a bit, but this reminds me of the BGM release of Tosho Daimos (Also composed by Shunsuke Kikuchi) by Columbia Records. The soundtrack is very limited. One of the pieces that wasn't on the CD is the Daimos Transformation Theme. That was one of Shunsuke Kikuchi's greatest musical works. It is also one of my favorite themes out of all the other ones. I remember how pissed the fans (like me) were when it wasn't included on the CD. Columbia Records really does suck at producing CDs.
I'll just have to accept the fact that it's life and I can't always get what I personally want.
*sigh*

Well I'm sure if you threw money at Columbia records, they could give you all the BGM's. Probably personal, like you can't share them. And when I mean money. I mean a lot of money. Even if I was rich, I wouldn't give more than 100 grand. I'd have to be like super rick. Like in the 30 and above millions.SolarBlade52 wrote:I wish that there was some way to get Columbia Records to release the rest of the major Dragon Ball BGM's. Sadly, I don't see that happening.![]()

Yeah, I can bet that if you will send them lot of money, they will send you Dragon Ball Ongakushu
As it is their release policy (Release as much nothing as you can)
