The IMDB page is fake and I already request the IMDB staff to remove it soon. If a reboot was in works then we would hear a official news from Paramount about the movie or other major movie websites. The page is nothing then a gaint piece of bull shit.

Takashi Yamazaki (Always: Sunset on Third Street 2, Space Battleship Yamato) is also listed down as the director. As far as I know, he is not working on any major movies at the moment.

Why, yes. I can certainly see the obvious difference in race between Goku, Krillin, and Yamcha. However, you're wrong about which race Goku is, though. He's clearly black like Mutaito.
It was a little harder to tell in the following picture, though.

We have seen how racistly ovbious black people look in DB, and we have seen what asians look like and we have seen what white people look like......Saiyans are 'white people'.

Good grief...

So is that the only evidence you have to support your claim that Goku is indefinitely portrayed in perfect light as a 'white male'?

He's pretty tan in the manga.
So he's obviously Hispanic.

How can he be hispanic? He is SAIYAN.

Every single Saiyan I've seen in the show has been "white". I don't even see how Goku could even be Though of as Asian. All of his features are the same as caucasians.

Goku is a monkey.
Can you tell the difference between a caucasion monkey and an Asian monkey?
... Is there such thing as a Caucasion monkey?

He's not Caucasian. He's an alien, therefore it doesn't matter what race you think he looks like, he's still an alien through and through- not white, black, red, blue, green, yellow, orange, pink, lime green, magenta, purple, mahogany or whatever... no! He's an ALIEN!

Correct. He is an alien with white skin, round eyes, black hair, average height. So what do we have on Earth to compare that to if we wanted to put him into a movie....a caucasian male.

Looks about right. I don't know about his height but then again I don't know Son Goku's height.

We don't need to compare him to anything, becuase we don't have aliens. I wish we did have aliens though.
And do white Caucasian males have tails at birth? I don't think they do. Do they turn into Giant Apes that emit massive amounts of energy from their mouths in a murderous blood frenzied rampage when looking at the moon? I don't think so. Hence I can't compare him to any race or anyone on Earth :/.

Except maybe my mother.
That description of a great ape seems to be appropriate in her case.

And besides Leprikan, we haven't even seen Foo in full costume yet if this reboot supposedly even happens. Who would you choose to play Son Gokou?

Going by that logic, MOST anime characters (barring the ones with silly eye and hair colors) are Caucasian in appearance. Because, you know, it's not like the genre wasn't influenced by Disney way back when. :|

Also, stuff like hair color, etc. isn't restricted to any one specific race. I'm friends with a ginger kid of Hispanic descent, for example. Go figure that one out.
Art, etc. links taken down for now. Will be updated at some point. I dunno.

Seeing as how the character of Goku was based off of Sun Wukong from the beginning, I think that is a sufficient amount of evidence to support the claim that Goku was originally designed with the intent of having him being of asian descent. Also, an individual of Jon Foo's ethnicity fits perfectly well in the appeasement of fans who wish for a caucasian actor, or for those who plead for an asian actor for Son. Jon Foo is of Chinese and Irish descent, problem solved.
The bottom line is, Goku doesn't HAVE to be white, nor does he HAVE to be asian. He just needs to be a light coloured male with black hair and eyes with a decent muscular build.

Open up your horizons a little LeprikanGT.

Eh, so do countless manga characters who are supposed to be Asian. I don't really see the problem.

I so hope they remove the listing. I wish IMDB had a better security system; the way it's set up now allows anyone with an account to abuse it.

In the future I wouldn't mind if another company gives live action DB a try though.

2012 is another year a way from now. 2012 already has "Men in Black III", "The Dark Knight Rises", as well as Legendary Pictures take of Godzilla; among tons of other super hero films and movie sequels like "Star Trek 2". Having it release around Spring or Summer time would be a very bad idea and not to mention we would more infomation about the film as well.

Unless Toei wants to do a live action movie or another studio that is really serious enough to do a reboot, I doubt we will ever see another Dragon Ball live action movie. Dragon Ball is nowhere as popular as it used to be in the US and if DBE did had a better marketing, I still think it would have still bombed since DBE already had a awful rep on the Internet. Most people who saw the trailer and images of the movie where like "Yeah this movie is going to blow big time".

Didn't know Men in Black III was scheduled for next year (or that there was going to be one). I enjoyed the first two; not sure if I feel positive or negative about how a third one would work out because of how many years have passed since II. MIB's partially nostalgia for me at this point. Also interested in the next Batman movie since I really liked The Dark Knight (still no idea who the villain will be in the the 3rd movie).

But yeah, that looks like it would be a terrible year to launch a reboot with so many heavy hitters coming out then.

I also think chances are slim for another live action DB movie; at least in the short-term. I could see it happening another 10 years from now when a good chunk of people who were kids and teens during the Toonami era are in their late 20's and 30's; a company building on the nostalgia to grab an audience.

Or maybe some company will surprise me and they'll be a reboot within the next 5 years? I have no way of really knowing.
On hiatus.

Right. So about that sarcastic tone and sly jab at Ernie Hudson's role in DBE you didn't seem to catch...

Really, though, I'm looking at my TV and I see a bunch of humans hanging out with Trunks. Bulma has naturally blue hair. Tenshinhan has a third eye. Krillin has no nose. Also, everyone is speaking Japanese and that can change with a couple button presses. Going by these ultra-realistic standards, Chaozu is obviously based upon 1950s American Caucasian sterotypes.

You're probably right, though. A guy like Goku has to be white. I've come to this conclusion studying his ability both to kick a giant fish to death and rescue a girl from a talking pterodactyl in the same day.

At this point, I could care less who they use if they are ruining the movie that far in advance, it's not like the first movie did any good, Bulma and Goku moved onto Shameless.

Although if the movie starts with Raditz, [as it should] I'd gladly stand in line to watch that guy get murdered with a giant beam to his chest.
