Yarg, it was in the wee year of 1998. I was but eight. All the kids in town went nuts over it.

'98 you say....sheesh I feel fuckin old now...not as old as some on here...but old none-the-less. Let's see here....19-13? no fuckin way....I was not 6. I probably got into it a couple years after. I'll say 9 or 10 maybe. That sounds about right

My first experience with the show was in sixth grade. That would have been around nine years ago. So I would have been about 11.

I was either seven or eight years old when I first started watching Dragon Ball Z; I didn't see or even know about Dragon Ball until I was eighteen, which was one year ago... I must say it was a treat

I think it started in 1999 or 2000 here in the UK, so I'd either be 9 or 10, Cartoon Network showed trailers that hyped it up so muuuuuch, all the kids were going nuts over these trailers. About a year later I bought two chapters of the manga in their monthly format, found out about Dragon Ball that way...

Oh it brings me back... all the kids claiming to be "seiyans", it was like Pokemon all over again, only things got violent...

I'm getting all nostalgic on all the first-time web browsing I'd do looking for DBZ sites...

I was in 3rd grade, about eight years old. I am a senior in college and 21 years old. The first thing I remember watching was the Tree of Might Pioneer dub in my cousin's basement. Then I started watching it on the Kid's WB. Stand by for Dragonball Z...Coming Next! Good times.

Around 1996-1997, I was about 7 or 8 when I was aware of it... 1998 was when I really got into it (thanks to Sailor Moon).

Probably around 11ish. I'm 21 now. A cousin told me I should give it a chance, after which I found myself on the edge of my seat as I watched Goku and Freeza duke it out on a dying planet Namek. Maybe that's why, even now, I don't mind the length of that battle - the nostalgia, the epicness, the excitement (who will live and who shall perish?) and everything.

I was like 4-6ish in 2000something (my memories of my childhood are a bit fuzzy) but it wasnt until I was 16 in 2010 that I really got into it.

It was either 1997 or '98, on Toonami. I was born in 1996. So, yeah, I was real young. My parents didn't think DBZ was that violent, so it was okay with them.

I was 5 (1998, I'm now 17.) I Remember that the first episode I watched was when Goku was creating the Genki Dama against Freeza (Probably episode 93 or 94 of Z.)
