You can select him as a fighter (along with all of the other fighters in the game), but in the storyline he does nothing other than being another commentary character.Michsi wrote:Does Krillin do something in this?
Like I said, it's just like the original Buu saga just with a few minor tweaks. The outline is the same. Buu goes through all of his absorbtions, Vegito is born, Kid Buu appears, Goku kills him.
Re: Shin Budokai 2:Canon?
Kinda dissapointing. What happens with Buu in Trunks Timeline is a question fans often ask. They had the chance to do something really unique here

It's not canon since it's a video game story that neither Toei or AT had any part of. The story in Shin Budokai 2 was nothing more then bad fan fiction if you ask me.

Yeah, because I think the only way to unlock characters in Shin Budokai 2 is by fighting them in the story mode. Still, though, they could've gone about it a different way.Chibi Mystic Gohan wrote:There's also crap like Burdock coming back from the dead to fight, or something like that. Terrible story. They just wanted an excuse to stick all of their fighters into the plot somehow.

It wouldn't have been that hard to have them unlocked through Arcade Mode or something.Piccolo Daimao wrote:Yeah, because I think the only way to unlock characters in Shin Budokai 2 is by fighting them in the story mode. Yeah, I know. But they decided to make it so the only way to unlock characters was through story mode, and, as a result, created a clusterfuck of a story that played out like bad fanfiction.Kendamu wrote:It wouldn't have been that hard to have them unlocked through Arcade Mode or something.Piccolo Daimao wrote:Yeah, because I think the only way to unlock characters in Shin Budokai 2 is by fighting them in the story mode. Re: Shin Budokai 2:Canon?
I've always thought of canon as stuff that happened in the original comic. Anything outside of that is non canon, but maybe thats just me =/

I've over time changed to include as much as possible going from being strictly manga purist to include guidebooks, uncontradicted filler & Neko Majin Z!PatPat wrote:I've always thought of canon as stuff that happened in the original comic. Besides Bardock, I think I remember reading that Future Gohan was also brought in.

And he received the ability to go SSJ 2 and the Elder Kaioshin's ritual power up apparently.Nazi Cola wrote:Besides Bardock, I think I remember reading that Future Gohan was also brought in.
