Why didn't you just buy/borrow manga, but relayed on "Chinese whisper" translation? I didn't have a choice when it came to DBZ movies, but wasn't manga in USA was available printed or scanlated back then?

Ps. And no, Anniversary movie didn't explain me anything.

I was only in middle school back in 2000, which is when I was exposed to the manga. I don't think I could tell the Vietnamese kids to come back with a different language.

All I meant about the anniversary special is that it elaborates on Vegeta's backstory by showing he has a little brother and that Toei could make another ova expanding on a relationship that has been completely shattered for me.

And what "relationship" are you talking about? Hello Kitty fetishist was kicked out as a baby that was probably the wisest decision of his father. Vegeta surely cared much about keeping that piece of crap away.

I think there's some miscommunication goin' on between us right now.

In the US about 11 years ago, you couldn't just go to the book store and get all of Dragon Ball in manga form. I don't think we had anything past the beginning of Namek in the US manga and the dub shown on Cartoon Network always gave me a headache.

As for the relationship, I was talking about Videl and Mr. Satan before I knew they were father and daughter. x.x

Doesn't Videl actually refer to Mr. Satan as Dad in this "OVA"?

And why would there need to be an OVA to elaborate their relationship? Vegeta didn't have a brother before the 40th Jump special, Videl has always been Mr. Satan's daughter.

Wait, what are you guys trying to figure out? All she's saying is that she would have liked a backstory on Videl and her relationship with Mr. Satan just as there was some backstory on Vegeta and his relationship with Tarble in the anniversary special....it's pretty straight forward.
