Agreed on both counts.

Same here. It was a cool cartoon. There have been times where I have asked myself, with only a few games under my belt, nothing heavy, "Do I really like this series?" I've asked it again after discovering Daizex, where every other poster has personal stories, loads of merchandise (The figures! And Toei's Kai merchpage, geez!), and often discusses the franchise in greater detail than we really need to. Then I came to the same realization as Kenmuri, that Dragonball wasn't just a fantastic gateway drug anime, it had the sort of personality that basically nothing else in the industry on film or print has. I can appreciate it a lot more for that. And here I am, buying Dragon Boxes, something intended for those far more dedicated than myself.

Just like Dragon Ball since Chapter #4.

Humor, action, unique characters, a lot of flash, but above all, childhood memories. My family had a lot to do with me becoming a Dragonball fan. My cousin in Mexico was the first to show me Dragonball, my cousin here in the states made me a huge fan, and I'd watch it all the time with my dad.

I still remember when all I had was toonami and my cousin who was far ahead in the series told me Vegeta had a son, and that BULMA was the mother.
