Is it too late to change my username to Turtle Marked Pancake?
And it is first now, I understand the meaning of your username... that is not to say I've actually been trying to figure out, what it means before now

You know what I see happening? The casual fan who is buying Kai?
The Orange Sets for Season 7, 8 and 9 will sell even more.

How did he fall, did someone shove him or did he trip up :P

I know what you meant but I found the wording amusing.

Me too. And now every time I go to a restaurant for breakfast, I'm going to DEMAND that my pancakes either have the Four-Star Ball or a "Turtle" Kanji printed on my pancakes, OR I'M NOT PAYING. Just Kidding.

Or was I?

The one-hour special was divided into 2 parts and took both, Kai's and One Piece's time slot.

The plot for the one-hour special was different than the plot for the crossover Manga chapter and the "Dream 9" logo was changed to something more "Toriko X One Piece".

Any of the Legend of Saiyan line going cheapish
Or any other Banpresto DBZ figure :)

If anyone has a cooler steelbook dvd that wants to sell it (prefer new but used is fine) when/if the dragon box movies comes out contact me :)

Sorry for necro-posting but I really want to bring this up. Anyway, I was reading a topic on Crunchyroll which shows the weekly anime ratings for Japan and I noticed that Toriko ratings were only around 7 to 8 percent only reaching 10 percent once, whereas Kai seemed to always get at least 10 percent of the ratings. Maybe Toriko isn't as big as Fuji TV hoped.

I've been keeping an eye on the ratings as well, but you have to remember, ratings aren't the "end all, be all" criteria for how "big" a series is, or isn't. You have to really factor in how much revenue they can create from the merchandising of the series. While Kai had great rating shares, its merchandising profits were very slim, and at some points, almost virtually non-existent. However, Toriko will have all new merchandise, as it's never had an anime adaptation before and is quite a new series in Weekly Jump. So basically, I wouldn't count your chickens before they hatch. To really see how it's doing we'll have to wait for Toei Animation's next fiscal report and give the series some time. I mean, just because it has lower ratings now doesn't necessarily mean that will be the trend.
