Re: Lunch
"Good Lunch" can just look at the gun in her hand or the policemen chasing after her to discern that she's done something bad. Anyone could, really. I don't think she's ever come out and strongly indicated that she has any specific knowledge about her other self.

Re: Lunch
How come good Lunch never used the dragon balls to fix this problem? I distinctively remember after Master Roshi explained the dragon balls to them, she says to herself something along the lines of 'if I had one wish, I know what I would wish for'

That's anime-only and maybe dub-only too.TheHumblePoet wrote:I distinctively remember after Master Roshi explained the dragon balls to them, she says to herself something along the lines of 'if I had one wish, I know what I would wish for'

Re: Lunch
Over time, Lunch mellowed out, so perhaps, once she realized that she wasn't doing bad stuff anymore, then she didn't need to use the DBs to fix her problem.TheHumblePoet wrote:How come good Lunch never used the dragon balls to fix this problem?
And since she changes personality when she sneezes, perhaps her bad self would just oppose to it.

Re: Lunch
Why not split the two into seperate beings. The bad Lunch will be unopposed to commit crimes and rob banks.Piccolo Daimao wrote:Over time, Lunch mellowed out, so perhaps, once she realized that she wasn't doing bad stuff anymore, then she didn't need to use the DBs to fix her problem.TheHumblePoet wrote:How come good Lunch never used the dragon balls to fix this problem?

Re: Lunch
Perhaps the bad Lunch just wouldn't care about that and be content staying in a split-personality. Does the good Lunch even see it as a problem as the series goes on? I think she just learned to accept it. Like how Upa said that it would be unfair if only Bora was revived and that they should revive Gohan too, and Gohan said that he was fine living in the afterlife.TheHumblePoet wrote:Why not split the two into seperate beings. And as I said, bad Lunch had mellowed out over time. She didn't do bad stuff anymore, and we don't even know what happened to her after she disappeared chasing after Tenshinhan, so perhaps bad Lunch left her previous life behind her for good.

Re: Lunch
Nothing's been said that DBO's canon to the manga. And let's not get into an argument about whether it is or not.Eddie wrote:^ I think that the DBO timeline mentions something that implied Lunch continued her life of crime.

Re: Lunch
I never said DBO was canon. For what it's worth, though, there isn't a single continuity that supports the idea that Lunch mellowed out. She was still a violent criminal type in her last manga appearance, she was still a violent criminal type in the Saiyan arc filler, and she was still a violent criminal type in DBO, apparently.

Re: Lunch
Well, in the manga, after she stole the diamond from Roshi in the RRA arc, she doesn't do anything criminal for the rest of the series. Not saying that she didn't fall back into crime (my opinion's actually on the contrary), but it's a possibility that she left her life of crime behind her for good. She certainly seemed content staying at Roshi's house, before she left to chase after Tenshinhan.Eddie wrote:I never said DBO was canon. And in her last manga appearance, she wasn't a violent criminal type. Yeah, she did the same thing by shooting her guns to get front seats for her and her friends, but that's not violent criminal type.

Re: Lunch
For what it's worth, we last see Lunch apparently working in a delivery service "Lunch Express" in Dragon Ball Z. Granted it's good Lunch, but I can't imagine she'd be able to keep a job if bad Lunch was still crazy and psycho.
Characters have changed over time, just look at Piccolo or Vegeta. Sure she's not on their level of "bad", but still something to consider...
