These are the kind of comments I was looking for with the topic. lol It isn't real, but look how far AF has come. It may not have gotten anything official, but there is some decent stuff out there. Maybe if Mike pushes the series for April Fools, someone will just take the idea and run with it. Weirder things have happened...

It is possible since, I've heard Dragonball GT is in another universe to Dragonball Z. I wonder if Hoshi will be another universe like GT or maybe consider to be fake.

I can't find any proof that's solid for Dragon Ball Hoshi AT ALL! There was the thing on several websites, but clearly those people have no life since they just copy and pasted to whole thing.

"Hoshi" can also mean "wish," as in "Dragon Ball Wish [That This B.S. Was Real]."

That's hoshi'i with two 'i's rather than one, and it's an adjective instead of a noun, so "Dragon Ball Hoshi'i" would mean more like "I Want DragonBall" rather than "DragonBall Wish". The word used in the series for wishes made to the dragonballs is negai.

Most of all it's from a wikipedia page, Someone could edit the page and sneak in the Dragonball Hoshi as a prank joke.

If there is any news on new series of Dragonball. I'm sure the news would be on a official Japanese website or magazine scans to prove of it happening.

This is a load of crap and I hear about this on Facebook today, I was like "What the?". The Wikipedia can be edit by anyone and anyone would be really stupid to think that this is real. Knowing how kids are with the Internet now these days, we will likely have kids and noobs coming in soon and be like "Hey u guys did u hear about that awesomze upcoming series since the Wikipedia said it's coming out in 2012 derp!".

Well, maybe I will try. Some years ago one portal with reviews had made an April Fool's hoax with reviews like "Berserk- Hand of the God" "Inuyasha- Final Showdown", "Slayers- new season" and of course "Dragon Ball AF". Two of this wishful reviews come true (well, the details were way different, but don't be scrupulous, the fact counts) so maybe not all the magic is gone and it will sparkle one day, when nobody expects

Well, it seems we've moved past AF and on to Hoshi. lol Random people on forums have started talking about Dragon Ball Hoshi, a new series supposedly coming out soon in both manga and anime format. Akira Toriyama is rumor to be making a new Dragon Ball series alongside mangaka Naho Ooishi, The creator of the 2008 Dragon Ball Z special "Yo! son goku and friends return". called, Dragon Ball Hoshi. Ooishi will be making a manga that continues the Z Manga past the Buu saga. It will have a newly designed Super Saiyan 4, and even a Super Saiyan 5. Akira Toriyama will be assisting her and backing off. The events in japan (earthquake, tsunami) slowed this down now Toriyama is taking care of that. It's rumor to be out later this year or early 2012.

Ah good times, cant wait to see how this plays out. xD Maybe next year Mike can really help Hoshi get its kick-start the same as he did for AF.

I think a 4th Dragon Ball series is like a Star Wars Episode 7, it will likely never happen. Dragon Ball has been finish for a decade and half, I would only like to see a 4th series is somewhat of a reboot where they fixed all of the errors in GT.

But Kai's not a continuation of the third series, which I think is what he was getting at. Though creating a series just to fix "errors" of another seems to be almost as unabashedly unnecessary as creating a series that recycles footage from another.

Bingo. Kai is just a remake of DBZ and is not a sequel in any form. While it's the 4th Dragon Ball anime, it's not really a sequel. Like how you wouldn't call X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), "X-Men 4". Or call Rob Zombie's Halloween (2007), "Halloween 9".

This one in particular isn't a great example, as you could. Stuff doesn't have to go in order, Devil May Cry is a great example: DmC(5), DMC3, DMC1, DMC4, DMC2. DmC is debatable, they change their mind every month, unable to decide if they want to call it a reboot or a prequel.
