I'm all for new stories. I just hope there's decent set up behind the plot and it isn't overly rushed. I don't expect it to be a master piece or anything but I do want it to feel like a story that's logically progressing even if it is one chapter. Wouldn't it be weird if this turned into some kind of full fledged spin off though?

That "?" card in that image has just been revealed on a TV programme. It's SSJ Bardock. Man, are they serious? I don't like this kind of AF-like idea.

I like it, it has been a long time coming and fairly overdue in my opinion. Him gaining it in a game affects nothing in the actual story, it isn't like it has anything to do with the official series.

We've already seen scans from this month's V-Jump, so correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't this be out?

Hopefully great, and so great that a new anime gets made!

The website says it's in the August issue, which is released June 21st. So no, unless someone's been posting scans of early copies.

Yes, there are scans already for a new Naruto, and Saint Seiya video game that have already been put online from that issue. As well as the new Project Age scan.

Sounds like a great idea. I like seeing what-ifts actually having a story.

The new artwork of this on Daizex and Kanzentai look nice. I'm curious as to how this all plays out.

According to Pekin Duck, this Bardock manga is going to have new characters in it. So it's apparently not going to simply be a manga version of the Bardock special only with him turning into a Super Saiyan at the end.

Interesting...the more details that come out, the more interested I am. Not much else to say now, I'll have to wait until someone scanlates it.

I find it a little off putting because 1, it's about saiyans, 2, it's about a saiyan becomming a SSJ (the kind of fanservice I got tired of even while I was following the story for the first time) 3. it's based on a game...
However, I am looking forward to it more than I had expected. From what I have seen up until now, the promo art seems pretty well done, so I can only hope this is what the story will look like, although I'm not that big of an Oishi fan (yet).

Wow! Despite what happened last year, Dragon Ball news is showing no signs of slowing down. New Manga, Dragon Box Singles, New Game. HOLY CRAP! What's next? Dragon Ball Heroes the Movie? YES PLEASE!

Perhaps these will be the new characters? Because Heroes just introduced what I assume to be a Hero, Elite, and Berserker avatar for Freeza's unnamed race:

Herms, I do believe the previous avatar characters introductions included their race in the announcement. Do we get an inadvertent reveal of Freeza's race? http://www.carddas.com/dbh/goods/icset3.html
