Episode of Bardock: Giant On-Going Manga + Anime Discussion

Yeah for a three-part manga this is very underwhelming in pacing.

Then again this was made entirely for an arcade game solely made to sell Dragonball merchandise to kids

The pacing is fine really (a little slow, but not really that bad, it is infinitely faster paced than Bleach). You also have to consider that despite the fact that its a 3 part special, each chapter is fairly short. Most weekly series range between 13-19 pages and monthly series are typically somewhere between 30-40 pages. Special stuff like this can be any length though, I've seen some that are 3 pages and some that are 60. The Episode of Bardock is on the lower end of the spectrum for a 3 part monthly special, each chapter is about the length of a weekly release and hasn't even broke 40 pages yet...meaning its barely longer than Toriyama's very first chapter of Dragon Ball so far...

(Spoiler Alert!) Bardock's getting his butt kicked by Chilled. He thinks he's Frieza, as he repeatedly says it. There are some fish-looking creatures that are by Chilled's side. o.O (Spoiler Alert ends)

Yeah but that doesn't mean it's not meant to be depicting "Chilled" in context.

Much like how Freeza isn't meant to be "Freezer" but rather "Freeza," same with his brother

You can change it all you want but that doesn't stop the official names from being Freeza, Coola, and Chilled
