Because Wikipedia knows everything? In Japan, a lot of people bought the DragonBoxes (or singles) because they saw it when they were young. Am I talking babies? Not exactly. There was no release, so they wanted to relive their CHILDHOOD..
Also again where is this mention of rape in the Pilaf arc?

I found it in someones sig here so I read it

Second to last paragraph

Listen Carfax, a guy witha Tripod site is not reliable, and no matter how much you quote things, the demographic was kids.
Well listen generic Dragon Ball themed name, Wikipedia lists Shonen demographic as roughly ages 10 and up. Just saying it wasn't made for 6-8 year olds, that is just ridiculous.

There. It is an answer. I didn't even read it, because I don't care. I just know it IS the answer. Can we be done now? Ok, Netfix Carnie?

Pilaf grabs Bulma with a hook and blows her a kiss and she then she says, "I at least thought you'd strip me and try a hero-hero, or a puff-puff, or a kyoi-kyoi, or some ingurimongurl, or something!!" Clearly she is referencing him undressing her and touching her body in various ways. That is at least molestation, I don't know what all the terms mean.

Can you stop with the lame name calling? Sure, that is a fine answer, like I said its for teens, but still I like dragon ball and so do people i know and we don't read that magazine nor would subscribe to it so those stats aren't perfect.

As far as I know, those are all terms Toriyama made up. But it was a joke. Those kind of jokes were considered okay in kids' shows in Japan. It's not as though she actually was molested.

See, Carne Asada? This is why you and I do not get along. It is like you don't want to have a conversation. You just want to ignore everything and believe what you want.

You seem to be confusing target demographic with actual audience. Just because a significant audience outside of the demographic forms doesn't mean they're the target audience. There's nothing wrong with liking something that isn't aimed at you, and the company of course isn't going to complain when more people want to give them money, but that doesn't mean they'll change their target demographic, and Dragon Ball certainly never did. It's for kids, which is why things like Dragon Ball themed desks exist. There's some products aimed at adults like deluxe statues, but most of the merchandise is aimed at children because that's the main audience.

Absolutely -- I love Honey & Clover (a josei) to death, but I'm certainly not a late-teen or early-adult woman.

This thread has absolutely nothing to do with what the "best" translation of the series is anymore, so I'm locking it.
