Wait, are we talking about the Canadian DBZ opening (the slower version of Rock the Dragon), or the Dragon Ball opening (with the flashing neon Dragon Ball logo and all that shit)?
If you're talking about DBZ, yeah, it's not the worst thing ever. I was talking about hating that horrible DB opening with all that neon stuff in it (it's like people sitting in a movie theatre or something...

).

Heh. Told you guys! (At the very beginning of this discussion I had mentioned about the horrible-ness of the Canadian Opening of DB)
Fortunately they don't have it hosted on Retrojunk. It's just too embarassing.
However, I do prefer the Canadian "Rock the Dragon" to the US one. I guess I'm just used to it.

In our defense, Canada wasn't allowed to use the US one, a rule which was FUNi's decision. Originally we had the American openings.

WHAT THE FUCK?! Blue Water has copied the french opening! Ohhhh...GOD! I mean, almost every european country got this crap but I thought Blue Water were smarter than...the other companies. Even the german idiot distributor has composed a new song (but the same neon shit video)...
Man the Ocean DBZ opening is a masterpiece compared to this! Yeah I really like it.^^

That one is only used used in some episodes (at least in this country it was anyway).
The other one is a bit better.
Where's the beef?

Blue Water made their own opening themes for Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball GT. The GT one was a shortened version of Dan Dan, only with totally different English lyrics. Their first (and apparentley only) Dragon Ball opening was crap; some sort of techno track with the lyrics "Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball" being constantly repeated. While I hated the look of the of the Canadian DB opening, it had a nice, but very childish, tune. Did FUNi make a second opening theme, it had no lyrics but you can hear a variation of it in Taiketsu.

That's because they got the masters, and thus translated them, from the french version, NOT the Japanese version. There's even the fact that in a few episodes near the end of the series there are parts where there's some onscreen text written in japanese that are subtitled in french, not english.

How damn cheesy was that?!
"...fun and excitement are waiting for you."
The first reaction is "Ha-ha". The second: "Oh damn, someone pick up that stick in the corner and bash in my head."
"I'd rather die than fuse with you!"
"Um...Vegeta, you're already dead."

Dragonballs!
Oh, the wittyness. Ehyesh, yesh.
And what was with the circles? Were those supposed to be audience members' heads?
