I posted this earlier as my favorite Gohan costume. Why was this shot chosen for the end credits? Other than just looking awesome. Is there a reason?

This is a different era, if it was early on then it would definitely be Bulma, Goku, Oolong and Yamcha.

Your friend was right. It's from the series Doragon Boru Doubutsu, or Dragon Ball Animals. It was only aired in Japan, and as your friend said, the characters of Dragon Ball have animal powers bestowed upon them. It got cancelled after 20 episodes, I believe.
Don't listen to the people in this thread, they're just jealous because they haven't seen it.

Kanzentai has pictures of all those. They're just random pictures that features in Jump and other such magazines.
