"It follows the GT all the way through the Z series."
The fact that you can play an Android is a way cool feature, apparently.
And of course, the pronunciation of Saiyan, but that might just be nitpicking.

What is this guy smoking? Honestly?
"We have a trailer up on our website that really speaks to the Androids."
"You can go to our website and watch the Hero Mode trailer and that will tell you everything you can do in that mode."
*Goes to dragonball.namco.com*
*Clicks "Ultimate Tenkaichi" videos*
*Sees only one video... ::sighs:: at misinformation, but clicks the trailer anyway*
* "Tenkaichi Tag Team" trailer plays*
*Facepalm*

Are you freaking serious? lol That's awesome

The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

Re: DBZ: Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussion)
I somewhat doubt it since it will likely be a home port of the game with some few new characters like Super DBZ was on the PS2. I remember reading that Zenkai Battle Royale can't be released on the 360, so I think a lot of fans will be piss off that it's not on the 360.Super Saiyan Prime wrote:Honestly, I suspect a port of Zenkai Battle Royale as next year's big DB game.
I think either Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi 2 will likely be next year's big DB game or that Dimps makes a come back to the DB games for the first time in four years. Next year is the 10th anniversary of Budokai 1, the game help spawn many DBZ games after 2002. I personally hope Spike does not make a new game next year and have Dimps return back to Budokai.

That's what 360 gets for being inferior. DBZ games were coming out for years on the PS,2 and. Xbox fans dealt with it. They have enough fps's to keep busy.Hellspawn28 wrote:I somewhat doubt it since it will likely be a home port of the game with some few new characters like Super DBZ was on the PS2. Re: DBZ: Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussion)
Well, as we will be moving separately with GF and she's taking the 360 with her, I will be buying new console and right now, I'm deciding between PS3 and XBOX.
Well, I really loved the XBOX 360, coming from PS2. I think that the XBOX suits me better and I was never used to much on Sony joypads, but looks like the features and games on PS3 are better and XBOX is only 1/5 cheaper then PS3 in Czech republic, so that's not a much big deal. As we will be moving back together after some time, it will be weird to have 4 different gaming systems in one house

Is that why Battlefield 3's 360 version is superior to the PS3 version?LeprikanGT wrote:That's what 360 gets for being inferior.
EDIT: Don't forget about the fact that the 360 has more RAM, easy to develop, and 7.5 gigs on the disk are more than enough to hold a DBZ game, since RB2 was only 3 gigs. It all has to deal with developer laziness. That has nothing to do with 360 being 'inferior', because the PS3 in many ways is the inferior console, so I advise to keep the console fanboy debates out of the topic.

[rant]Yeah because all 360 users play or love FPS right? Have people actually looked at the games released under the 360? This stereotyping stuff is annoying. But your right, I am busy, between real life, rpgs, and card strategy games I am busy.[/rant]LeprikanGT wrote:That's what 360 gets for being inferior. Digital Distribution means that disk space is completely irrelevant in arguments now days. Now games are also being Final Fantasied and being released on multiple DVS.
So how is Xbox inferior?

Re: DBZ: Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussion)
Its just a straw man argument people use when they are frustrated. I guess they mean spec wise(which means they also pull out the fps card), which has been overcome by as you said with DD and the new disc format. Its already been noted that they are holding this game back due to basically not enough time not because of system hardware. Tony S isn't the only person who deals with Namco concerning this game. If people want to get mad at anything its how Namco(and Spike) has been viewing the series.Patient-mental wrote:Digital Distribution means that disk space is completely irrelevant in arguments now days. Let's see if I can get us back on track.
Who here is just going to Youtube those anime scenes?
I'm thinking that I'm going to stay away from this game. I was flip-flopping on it before, but I just came to that realization today. And if I am really curious about the storyline game-play, I can watch that on Youtube as well.

Re: DBZ: Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussion)
I'm likely just going to wait and watch the cut scenes when I have the game. I saw the remake of Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans since I did not know if I was going to get RB2 or not, so I was like "What the hell, I will watch it now". I hope the animated cut scenes won't be a let down like the remake of Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans was (I think the original version was much better).
I think someone in the other thread mention that Zenkai Battle Royale uses some type of hardware that can only be run on the PS3?Rostir wrote:Why?Hellspawn28 wrote:I remember reading that Zenkai Battle Royale can't be released on the 360.Super Saiyan Prime wrote:Honestly, I suspect a port of Zenkai Battle Royale as next year's big DB game.

Re: DBZ: Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussion)
If Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans was any indication, these cut scenes will be animated in much the same way. Wasted Wisher confirmed that their was fewer frames and less work for the in-betweeners. If the focus is on key animators, that means there's not a lot of motion, so I wouldn't expect the animation to move much.
Re: DBZ: Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussion)
Yeah, that would make sense given the time frame.JulieYBM wrote:If Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans was any indication, these cut scenes will be animated in much the same way. Re: DBZ: Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussion)
On the point of cheapo animation, the ESRB rating revealed this:
"This is a fighting game in which players select characters from the Dragon Ball Z universe and engage in one-on-one battles against other characters. Players frequently punch, kick, and use special attacks (e.g., fireballs, laser-style attacks) to drain their opponent's life meter. Impact sounds, sword slashes, and grunts/cries of pain can be heard during each battle. Cutscenes also contain violence, including a depiction of a character chopping a giant creature's tail. A handful of still-frame images depict wounded characters with bruises, cuts, and blood stains. The words “hell” and “p*ssing me off” can be heard in the dialogue."
Let's hope it's really just a handful of still frames, and not a decent chunk of the story.
As for the 360 no go, I'd like to point to Tekken 6. Tekken 6 was the first game to use Namco System 357 (the arcade board that's a derivative of PS3 hardware) it was ported to PS3 and Xbox 360. Zenkai Battle Royale uses System 357. A 360 port would take more time than a PS3 one presumably, but it's no where near impossible.

Zenkai Battle Royale's roster is being updated every so often, and besides, it wouldn't be the first time the home port received more characters.Hellspawn28 wrote:I somewhat doubt it since it will likely be a home port of the game with some few new characters like Super DBZ was on the PS2. "I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.
