I wonder why FUNi doesnt just release the uncut versions of episodes the next day...either way I laughed so hard at Cell's troll line.

"NOT BY A SAIIIYAAAAAAAA-No seriously. You really are a fool."

Better be a meme by tommorow morning.
GT isn't bad, just sucks ass in comparison to the other 2 animes.

I'm expecting "Oh Shit" in the uncut version.

If anyone has any of the DB/DBZ/DBGT or Maho Tsuaki Sally Japanese single DVD's that they'd be interested in selling send me a PM and I'll see if we can work something out. ;).

I had a hard time watching Vegeta's Final Flash scene without "One Hit To Victory".

Wait...did they just edit out the meat exploding in Goku's face and his hair being set on fire? What the hell Nicktoons? Seriously? And here I thought they'd gotten more lenient.

yeah, cut down a show that has been cut down to be under 30 minutes in Japan for even more commercial time in the States.

You sound surprised, it's been happening all the way back in the '80s - and not just to anime! The Muppet Show had entire segments removed from its original US airings. And Nick is pretty... awful with this right now. I can't figure out Nick at Nite's schedule because most shows run 3-5 minutes extra and they cut the credits unless there's an acting segment. It makes the '90s Are All That a nightmare that I refuse to watch on Teennick.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Not surprised at all, just acting a little sarcastic.

One guy I had talked to said, he recorded a show on TV that aired for about ten years, from the early seventies and into the eighties. He said that the show on each new season had been cut down by a minute or two. It used to run 30-35 minutes an episode until later; it ran for about 25 minutes.
Now I just have to remember what show it was again but it was an interesting conversation at least.

All That cuts out not just the credits, but the musical guests too, Kenan & Kel has the credits, at first Clarissa Explains It All did then they got cut, Doug, Hey Arnold & Rocko's Modern Life all had their credits cut, Hey Dude just started on there a week ago, and the credits are left intact.

All That losing its musical numbers has to do with rights rather than time cuts, but the credits... well, I would be ok with the shows running an extra minute or 2 if it means I could hear the Hey Arnold! ending credits. It's sad the state commercialism has left TV in. Glad I have at least 2 of the Amazon DVDs for Arnold, and looking forward to finishing my collection with the Shout DVDs.

Just watched Episode 81. It sounded like Trunks was making sex groans when he was powering up in the air, and I may be wrong but when he first began talking after his power up it sounded like there was a voice filter or something.

Again Funimation brought back that annoying echo for the Room of Spirit and Time but that is to be expected but that doesn't mean I still don't find it annoying.

And, I still dislike strongly Daemon Clarke's new Perfect Cell voice. I just cannot take it seriously at all especially when he lost his arm something seemed off about his voice.

Clarke's Cell actually really grew on me a lot more this episode. I still don't quite like the voice itself as much as the Z voice, but his acting is so much more polished this time around.

Take this scene for example:

I have a feeling in time I'll get used to the voice and love it

Episode 81 was awesome, in my opinion. I really dig Clarke's new Cell voice, easily much better than his original voice and much smoother. How could anybody not mention how awesome Sabat was in this episode, truly mind-blowing. I also agree about Cell's line, it was really funny.

I like Perfect Cell's voice as much as ever. And I laughed at Goku's line about Mr. Popo being scary when he's angry. I just started thinking of TFS jokes at that point. And the voice filter in the RoSaT doesn't really bother me like it is for what seems like most people.

I'm more interested in seeing if "The Lone Warrior" gets dubbed or not. I don't expect too much; but, you never know with Over the Star getting dubbed.

I think Lone Warrior will be instrumental like Only A Chilling Elegy & Super Dragon Soul are in the Kikuchi mix versions of 40 & 41.
