I thought it was an really interesting story. I love anything that adds to the dragonball universe. I'm just wondering what happened to Bardock after..

Re: Naho Ooishi's 3-Chapter V-Jump Manga: Episode of Bardock
So, I come up with a theory. Let's say that there are 2 worlds (like with Trunks' world) the manga world & the anime world. In the manga, Bardock went to the past and became SSJ. In the world where Bardock disapeared and thee original SSJ wasn't Bardock, the future went like in the manga, no fillers or movies or GT, instead of GT,the JSAT manga adaptation and DBO happened. However, in the world were Bardock was the original SSJ, 1000 years later Bardock didn't go to the past and died by Freeza, and then, the anime world was created. What do you think?
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Re: Naho Ooishi's 3-Chapter V-Jump Manga: Episode of Bardock
While not making it so complicated, since we have no clues to what timeline Bardock was sent to or what happened after the Episode of Bardock, I've pretty much always subscribed to the theory that Bardock getting sent back in time resulted in a new timeline, like when Trunks uses his time machine. (I don't believe that only time machine can cause alternate timelines/universe, anything can and it can even happen on its own.) So, Bardock left his timeline, where he might or might not have been the Super Saiyan of legend, and was blasted back into the past of a new one where he was the Super Saiyan of legend.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:So, I come up with a theory. So, "Episode of Bardock" is "Ocarina of Time", the manga universe is "Wind Waker" and the anime universe is "Twilight Princess", interesting.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:So, I come up with a theory. Assuming this page is from V-Jump, which is out as-of the 21st each month.

I looked for the source and it was on 2chan. It says the anime will be on TV in April next year. *edit: The information is becoming snarled. Some people are saying that it won't be on TV but will be shown at Jump Festa and the cast is bullshit.VegettoEX wrote:WTF. Anime adaptation coming? Can we get some better information? *snip*

I wish they'll use proper Kikuchi pieces this time, but the new score composed by Hiroshi Takaki would be the most likely to happen.977 :ななし製作委員会:2011/11/21(月) 23:58:51.82 ID:pQwP1064

Nakao as Chilled. I guess that's not much of a surprise. And Aki Toyosaki as Beri.

I'm very interested. The Episode of Bardock manga wasn't anything really great, but it was definitely enjoyable and brought some interesting things into play (even though it really just created more questions than anything else). I'll be interested to know what Toriyama's part in all of this is, along with Ooishi's. I am also hoping that we get a bit more info on this "Dragon Ball Force Project" is, and if it will have any more animated or manga productions.

I see Broli's arm. I wonder if that means a new Broli special will come by, too?

If they're looking to do more DB anime, there's a whole saga of DBZ that was never Kai'd. :p

Everything above the red text announcing the Bardock thing is talking about SSj3 Broli. It asks whether you'll be capable of beating Broli, so it's probably relating to some video game.JulieYBM wrote:I see Broli's arm. I wonder if that means a new Broli special will come by, too?

Now the official site of V Jump says that there will be an advance screening of the anime at Jump Festa on December 17 and 18. Now I wonder what advance means.

Well, between a newly-animated Dragon Ball OVA and a whole saga of refreshed animation...penguintruth wrote:If they're looking to do more DB anime, there's a whole saga of DBZ that was never Kai'd. :p
...I'd take the first one
I hope this gets released in the US along with Yo, Son Goku. Would be a cool double-feature dealie.

I sure hope we get this in the United States! Sounds exciting. New Dragon Ball animation is always welcome.

New animation ... that's nice, I guess.
Ahhh, I feel like a terrible fan for being so completely un-excited about this.

Honestly, me, neither. Anyway, a new animation will be a good shot in the arm for the franchise, so I also feel kind of happy at the same time though.StarRot wrote:New animation ... that's nice, I guess.

Re: Naho Ooishi's 3-Chapter V-Jump Manga: Episode of Bardock
I wonder if they'll try to get Nakatsuru to do some key animation? Surely they could...
I'm glad to see Toei is still willing to do more Dragon Ball animation. I wonder who at the company is still fighting to do specials, espicially after how Kai ended?

Re: Naho Ooishi's 3-Chapter V-Jump Manga: Episode of Bardock
Yeah I also wonder the same thing. It's surprising that the executives didn't deny the project. They must have suffered a big loss due to the music scandal. I won't be surprised if they feel a rejection of something DB-related because of that.JulieYBM wrote:I'm glad to see Toei is still willing to do more Dragon Ball animation.
