Actually , I found the lack of SSJs interesting too. The Buu arc is pretty much where the great SSJ status becomes a joke thanks to the kids (remember Vegeta's comment) and it's the one arc where the new transformation ISN'T what saved them.
Either that or she wanted to avoid drawing the SSJ3 since it couldn't look cute as a chibi. See how Piccolo barley appeared in anything.

Really? I don't hate DBSD, I truly don't, but I'm having a hard time seeing the point in it. It's just a re-telling of the original series, just a little goofier. If it's going to be a monthly series why not write a new story? Huh? I expected more Dragon Ball manga in Saikyo, but not more SD! What was the point of "THE END" in the conclusion of this chapter? Did they mean the quarterly run was just a preview? Was "THE END" just supposed to signify that said portion of the manga is the end of the manga? This is weird.

I have to agree. I don't dislike the series. The changes it makes are fairly fun most of the time, and the art is pretty cute, but I don't see a reason to rehash the ENTIRE series monthly. It wasn't so bad when they were just doing entire arcs every couple of months, but now I think they'd be better off with an whole new plot IMO.Scarz wrote:Really? I think Naho can do a better job if she doesn't try to compress a lot of chapters in one.
The pace can be slower now, since this became a monthly series.
And I'm happy that Bulma's hair is colored purple. Kids are gonna learn the correct colors.
