Papato
(I'd assume the title is supposed to mean "with papa")

Goten wants to know what his father was like. Gohan tries to tell him, but then realizes that there's a way for Goten to actually see Goku. They go to Videl's house to watch the video of the Cell Games (Videl is OK with this, but knows she'll get in trouble if her dad finds out she let a boy over). When Vegeta appears in the video, Goten shouts that it's Trunks' dad, and Videl is amazed that he's an acquaintance of theirs. Gohan explains that no, it's really just someone who looks like a person they know. Next Goku appears, and Gohan (apparently without thinking) tells Goten that there's dad. Videl is again astounded, and Gohan tries to cover unconvincingly. Afterwards as they head home, Gohan asks Goten what he thought. Goten says that dad seemed kind, but not very strong. Gohan explains that this is because the video stopped before Goku started fighting. Normally Goku didn't look too tough; ordinarily he just ate a lot and acted goofy. Goten asks whether despite all that Gohan was really the strongest, but Gohan says dad was, since he protected everyone until the end.

After that is a two page reproduction of Goku agreeing to fight Majin Vegeta, over Kaioshin's objections. I don't really get this, since it seems like a straightforward recreation of the scene, other than the last panel where Gohan tells Kaioshin they ought to get going. Maybe it's just a joke on how Kaioshin serves no purpose in the story besides issuing warnings that are constantly ignored.

Thank you for the summary.
It’s a pretty uncomplicated, simple comic, but I still like it.

When I asked my friend about this story, she said the same thing. It’s … not really a funny joke, but whatever.

I didn’t scan all of this; the missing pages were just a novel, thus Japanese text – which I’m sure most people can’t read anyway. If anyone REALLY wants it, I guess I could scan them.

I'm glad you all enjoyed it.
I don't really understand this comic myself; I'm assuming it's parodying certain manga?
The only one I can recognise is Ranma, though.

It’s been ages since I’ve posted anything here.
Okay, I don’t know if anyone one here even likes Akagi or Kaiji, but I’ll post these scans anyway.
They’re both really good shows, well worth checking out. The manga are good too.
(I’ll scan something Dragonball soon-ish. Hopefully.)

First, Kaiji:

I tried watching Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor to the end but I just couldn't. The show got way too intense for me. I know it's weird seeing how I can watch the most f'ed up anime shows out there but for some reason I got to attached to the main character and I just couldn't bare to see him get hurt/screwed anymore.

Thanks for all the scans though! I have a lot of doujins lying around that's begging to be scanned. They're at my mom's place and I have to take an hour and half train ride to get there. When I visit her next time I'll grab a bunch of doujins with me. The clean ones of course :P

... I just realized something, why did I leave my hentai doujins at my mom's house?!

I totally understand where you’re coming from. It’s pretty hard to watch at times.
That’s one thing I really like about Fukumoto’s works. You always feel really attached to the characters. Even the bad guys.

I’m looking forward to seeing your scans … I hope your mother doesn’t find your smut. ;P

Sounds like you need to watch Akagi then.
If you're not here soon... GET ON!

Everyone should watch Akagi.
Anyway, in the next few days, I'm transferring all my files to RapidShare. Because I'd like to have the all in the same account and it seems like a really good service.
So, if the links ever die in this thread, you can still find them here.
