Frame damage aside, the BDs look fine as they are, I can't see Funi redoing them.

Not all of them. As I pointed out earlier in this very thread, some of the earlier ones had such tampered colors that you lost entire levels of shading due to being so over brightened.Pokewhiz7 wrote:Frame damage aside, the BDs look fine as they are, I can't see Funi redoing them.
Double Feature:

A trailer for the second four pack is out:

I love how they're advertising these as a "blast from the past". They should've been doing that from the start with these remastered things.

I'm considering picking these up down the road considering how amazing the packaging is.

It's like DBZ Kai Part's DVD format, a box with 2-3 Slim DVD cases in and this is the packaging.Gozar wrote:I'm considering picking these up down the road considering how amazing the packaging is.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

I know. I'm actually referring to the separate cover arts for each individual Movie.dbboxkaifan wrote:It's like DBZ Kai Part's DVD format, a box with 2-3 Slim DVD cases in and this is the packaging.Gozar wrote:I'm considering picking these up down the road considering how amazing the packaging is.

Unless they release these sets on Blu-Ray (which seems like it ain't happening), I don't think I'm getting these at all.

The least they could do was put the updated FUNimation logo's on the discs.

Complaining about which company logo was used on the discs? I'm just happy I got them in a new slimmer, cheaper set.
Re: Dragon Ball Z Movie Pack 1 & 2 (1-9) DVD sets at RightSt
I do like these more than the steelbooks, which for some reason bothered me. I guess it was the out of order scenario for the Broly movies. Anyway, I might pick these up just for the cover art. I do like them. A lot.MoltenMan wrote:Complaining about which company logo was used on the discs? I'm just happy I got them in a new slimmer, cheaper set.
Bah! Now I regret selling my Dragon Ball singles box.

Anyone notice that the Android #13 summary creates a plot hole? What's up with Meta Cooler's disc art?
Great-looking otherwise.

Why? They're probably just discs that are left over from the steelbook releases.dragonpiece wrote:The least they could do was put the updated FUNimation logo's on the discs.

I'm sorry, but small things like that nitpick me.

Yeah, Android 13's summary is kind of distracting. They could've done better. As for Meta Cooler's disc art, these are the exact same discs as the steelbooks, so it was like this back when they first cam out also.BlazingFiddlesticks wrote:Anyone notice that the Android #13 summary creates a plot hole? They still could have reprinted the art. They did for the One Piece collections, even though the actual menus say, "Season X, Voyage X".

Are those the original Japanese covers they are using? I'm impressed, they look great.

It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.
Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

^Yes and no. They are based off the original movie posters, but they've been traced in vector-art fashion. To varying degrees of quality... the movie covers themselves look good, but that Cooler disc art? Atrocious.
Also at least with the Broly cover some characters are missing/replaced.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
