Nah, I strongly dissagree, those two episodes, from Trunks appearing to when he kills both Freeza and King Cold are actually two of my favourites, if not my favourites. Simply because it's all over so quick.

It's funny how people moan over how the Freeza and Goku battle was needlesly dragged on episode after episode, and when a battle happens fast over 2 episodes, in which every part of the episode is great, some dislike it.

Also, Freeza's return isn't just for the fun of it, I already posted this in another thread about how Toriyama only brought him back to give the viewer a good interpretation on how powerful the upcoming enemy are(the cyborgs), by Trunks killing the great Freeza(and his Dad), and then us discovering Trunks is nothing to the Cyborgs, it gives us a good idea on how terrifying they are, and then to Cell, they are nothing, so it all links up as a good way of roughly knowing the enemies power without a scouter revealing the exact battle reading(which would have spoiled it, I'm glad the scouter business got canned).

And, about Goku's crap parenting, give the man a break, he's a Saiya-Jin who loves battle, he would have started out evil and he still has the heart to act the way he does, he just a carefree man. He could have easily pushed Gohan to the max in the time chamber again but decided to spend the remaining time resting and spending his time with his family. Unlike Vegeta...

Now I feel dumb...speaking for an anime character. :?

Nah don't. I stuck up for Goku too and I do it all the time when discussing anime series and characters with others. 8)

Rocket - stuff like that just happens all the time. Look at Super Sentai (if you will, Power Rangers). A new Ranger shows up, kicks all kinds of ass, and eventually fades into the background. Same thing with shows like Sailor Moon. In the manga, Sailor Jupiter killed Nephrite (same with Mars and Jadeite) immediately after being awakened, and she proceeded to spend the rest of the series mostly ignored. I call it "Focus Character Syndrome". :P

:) Focus character syndrome, eh? I love it! I've got another example, in Digimon the focus is always on two of the lead male characters whose Digimon always become waaaay more powerful then the others. (Minus Frontier of course. :P)

I have to stick up for the whole of DB against my ex-girlfriend and her ungodly Inuyasha obssession. We're always debating whichi is better...I win of course! :P
I really, really need to get back into the habit of posting.

That's so true about Digimon!XD Now you and your girlfriend shouldn't argue. After all, everyone knows that DB is better. :P

By the way, next time you have an argument about that, tell her that Inu Yasha's characters are nothing but rehashes of those in Urusei Yatsura, Takahashi's very first series. Throw Ranma in there too, since it also has the same types. It's actually a "rehash of a rehash"! XD

I honestly don't really hate Inu Yasha, but I gotta help stick up for DB. 8)

:) Go, Jerseymilk! Seriously! Inuyasha is a lot like Ranma 1/2 isn't it? Did I type girlfriend? I meant ex-girlfriend, sorry about the confusion. Now's she's my best friend, though we still do argue about it...

Yeah, I'd like to see Inuyasha try to take on Goku! That's like putting Godzilla up against Mickey Mouse!

Umm... so anyway, I guess I'm a little late in posting my thoughts on this before the topic got turned, but back to the subject at hand...

The scenes that fry me, are, from most to least:
1. The sniper shooting Beh (this one in particular got to me because I have a small dog at home, with white fur, that doesn't look much different from Beh [though a different breed: chihuahua] and if anybody tried to do anything to her, they'd pay in blood)
2. The sniper and his butler killing Gramps and Grandma
3. When the gang is looking over that cliff at Babidi's ship, and Gohan looks over at a nearby farmhouse, where a farmer, his wife, and his toddler-aged child are lying dead in the front yard (this is even worse in the manga, because the wife had clearly been sliced in half, but in the anime, for censorship reasons, they turned her around so you can't see that she's missing her lower body)
4. Spopovitch being downright ruthless to Videl (again, worse in the manga, where she loses a tooth when Spopovitch knees her in the face)
5. Dodoria killing Cargot and trying to kill Dende
6. Any scene with Vegeta treating Dende like a rag doll
7. Second-form Freeza impaling Kuririn with his horn
8. Dolltaki being a sicko to Pan
9. Any scene with Bulma going off on one of her "PMS-parades"
10. Gohan not finishing Cell off when Goku tells him to... or for that matter, Goku just sitting there and letting Freeza reach 100% power

Fortunately, most of these villains get what's coming to them (although in the manga, it's more satisfying when Evil Boo kills off the sniper because you can see his eyeballs parting company with their sockets... okay, so I'm gross for liking that, but he deserved every bit of it).

Oh, and I agree with Jerseymilk, I can't see one of the Dark Shen Longs doing... uh... that... to Pan, no matter how evil they may be. If any character were to steal Pan's virtue, it would have been Dolltaki (stupid... frickin'... gads, I hate him...). But Toei knows their boundaries. Intense violence is one thing, but the sexual molesting of little children, even just implied, is ... well, it's not for DragonBall. I used to hate Toriyama for putting such disgusting "pafu-pafu" crap in his manga (even though it's in a comical context), when the rest of the story is SO GOOD... but now that whole bit with the "possibility" of what happened to Pan during that interval of time really puts it into perspective... though I'm still not a fan of Kame Sennin's antics. I feel dirty just watching it.
BGM forever! If only more people paid attention to it... well, I intend to change that.

One scene I hated was, right after vegeta charges at super Cell and gets beat down and Gohan takes the hit, Kuririn says something about how vegeta was in the wrong for charging at cell and getting Gohan hurt. It’s his son for god's sake!!! Its Gohan's fault he got hurt, vegeta never asked to be saved.
Hiei: "So tell me - what's it like living in a constant haze of Stupidity?"
Hiei: "I know as much about games as I do puppies and huggs....Wake me up for the end of world"
Welcome to Super Vegeta's Big Bang Attack.... Welcome to Oblivion!!!
