Dragon Box The Movies - Box Art?

The image of Goku on the bottom left appears to be the cover design of the box set, a really angry looking Super Saiyan Goku. I am not entirely sure if this is indeed the box art seeing as how I don't own any of the other sets to compare it to. Has the number of discs for this set been revealed? The box looks a liitle puny to me. :?

Well, there are only 17 movies, most of which are only 50 minutes each. So, what, 5 DVDs at most?

I was under the impression that it would be one movie per disc but what you said does seem to make more sense. :)

Does this count the Bardock, Mirai Trunks, and GT specials? Kick ass boxart, though. :P I hope FUNi releases something like this one day, seeing as how I'll never have the money to buy the Dragon Box... :(

Thanks! I say they'll do something like 4 movies per disc:
1. Curse of the Blood Rubies
2. Sleeping Princess in the Devil's Castle
3. Mystical Adventure
4. Path to Power

Disc 2
5. The Dead Zone
6. The World's Strongest
7. The Tree of Might
8. Lord Slug

Disc 3
9. Cooler's Revenge
10. The Return of Cooler
11. Super Android 13
12. Broli: The Legendary Super Saiyajin

Disc 4
13. Broli: Second Coming
14. Bio-Broli
15. Fusion Reborn
16. Movie 13

:P Yeah, I used the dub names, only 'cause I don't know the original ones...

FUNi? Are you listening? I'd love a movie box of DB and DBZ! ...please?

OH...MY...GOD...

That Scouter looks SWEET! I think the box art leaves a bit to be desired, but really, it's not that important compared to the actual movies themselves. It'll be happy birthday to me indeed this March. 8)

I also read that, so you're saying the Bardock special came out with the first Z box and the Trunks one was on the Cell saga box?

Off-Topic Question: What is contained in the first Dragon Box? :D

Uh, the first box is the Saiyan to end of Cell saga, if I recall correctly. The second box starts with the Other World Tournament and all the way to the end of Z.

The first box included both TV specials of Z. The GT special was in the GT Dragon Box.

Anyone who actually has the Z boxes wanna correct me if I'm wrong? ^^;

Anywho, the boxart for the movies box is awesome, even though they decided to go with the overused Super Saiyan Goku rather than trying something like a new piece of art for Goku going through his ages, especially since 7 of the 17 movies took place before Goku went Super Saiyan.

And damn Toei for deceiving us with fullscreen image captures considering that's not what'll be included on the DVDs. :(

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the first box goes to the beginning or so of the Imperfect Cell Saga...Cell Games and stuff are in box number two.

Milton: Where are the scouter pictures?

EDIT: I really liked the designs for the Z boxes, but does anyone agree the quality has been going down...?

Thanks for clearing that up Tsukento.

Chaos Saiyajin, thanks for trying to help, I did notice what SaiyaJedi said about the Specials, I just didn't understand properly.

You didn't need to re-quote what he said, it's the same topic. :?

Now I'm hearing different from Mr. Robot, well, my question was answered, I only wanted to know if the specials featured on the Dragonbox Z.

Toei posted it on their video website, found here, or we've posted them on Kanzentai.com. Also, Toei has released the new box art for the next 3 Z Individual Discs (link).

Those aren't covers, they're actually movie posters. Most of the movies have two or three different posters that were used to advertise the movie, one of which is used as the actual cover. A good example is DBZ Movie 2, which has three. Unless you live in Japan, you probably have only seen two of the three as one of them has never really been used as anything other than a promotional poster in Japan. As far as I know it has only been shown in the Daizenshuu, which is where this scan is from.

1. The scouters are stylized walkie talkies.

2. In another thread, DBW was talking about narrated intro/outros on the original Japanese VHS releases...anyone know what these are, and whether they're in the Dragon Box?

Real shame too. All these years of Dragon Ball fandom and the internet being at our grasp and there isn't a sign of any kind for seeing the posters aside from the Daizenshuu images.

You just know that, somewhere, some Japanese fan is whording those posters to themself after keeping them from being tossed from the movie theater. >>
