They said "Die" I don't know which episode but they said it. So this begs the question, why is it not ok in Kai? But it's ok in GT.
(For a brief minirant)

Around here (LI to be exact) when it comes to cable, usually anything below 100 is what most people had. The movie channels not withstanding. We didn't even get "digital cable" till 05. CN is channel 32. Nicktoons 122. So technically speaking Nicktoons is not included on most basic packages. Which makes me wonder, why is the "censorship" on CN so lenient when most people have it but a higher channel like Nicktoons is stricter. Yes most people have the "premium" Packages nowadays but it still boggles the mind.

(end of minirant)

So how bout them nicktoons?

FUNimation's just using their already used edited versions of GT without changing them, and NickToons doesn't seem to care.

Nicktoons American OP: http://youtu.be/RF_Aoxsj9tU

Sithlord4 @ Yeah, that's strange, in Z Kai they always used words like "darn", the explanation could be that Nicktoons just isn't giving as much care as they did with Z Kai.

We won't see any orange blood this time? :?

"Welcome to the Grand Tour" doesn't sound right with Dragon Ball GT... Why would they... :|

I get them reusing their already edited version, but it's a double standard. Kai was edited heavily. No blood no "die" or "Kill" GT, saw dried blood not touched and "Die" and "Kill" have been used many times. Nit picking? yes. But it shows that uncut anime can be shown on nicktoons no problem. Possibly the original Dragon Ball, or (I'm hoping too much) One Piece? I still fail to see the logic.

Kai is being edited more specifically to Nicktoons' standards vs. DBGT being an already edited acquisition.

It may seem weird, but stations can sometimes get away with showing something that's previously been edited to TV-Y7 or whatever they're aiming for even if it was edited years ago under different standards. This has happened on Cartoon Network multiple times when showing older shows. (Also, the Dragonball series on Cartoon Network was eventually allowed to say Die and Kill when other shows like Gundam Wing weren't allowed to concurrently, and was not allowed to initially.)

Things like the fact that DBGT doesn't deal with the same amount of death as DBZ does may also have something to do with it. There's a weird thing where sometimes it's okay to talk about death when the characters don't actually die.

It can also deal with which BS&P rep is working that day and on which episode. BS&P isn't completely subjective.

EDIT: Man, I forgot how bad the CG dragon is in that intro.

I remember during the Toonami Midnight Run, eps of G Gundam would allow killing but couldn't use the word "kill", and G.I. Joe reruns could use the word "kill" but couldn't depict killing.

What's up with all those extra sound effects in the opening?

I am watching it now and already I want to scream at it even though it came out years ago. I can only shake my head at Toei.

The show I mean.

Part of it might even be 'this was already edited for TV-Y7... we don't have to edit it any further' vs. 'this is currently TV-PG or TV-14... it needs to hit TV-Y7... here are the lists of what you have to do.'

The blood editing might also have been a presumption on Funi's part, too.

One Piece would never air unedited on Nicktoons during prime time. I think the thing that would keep it from airing most is probably the guns, to be honest.

Wait what? They're editing all the episodes into a movie? That's what, a 1000 minute movie?
No, just the first five.
So then you'll have to hear it more then once.

I know Nicktoons' got the edited DBGT from the US CN/Toonami (whatever it's called) but why didn't they also include the Next Episode Previews of GT dubbed in English?

First off, I'm pretty sure they got it from FUNimation. Second - they did have the next episode previews dubbed in English. They actually showed the next episode preview tonight at the end of the Nicktoons-made "movie".

I totally agree with that. The should have slapped Bit By Bit on and cut it down to a minute like they did with Dragon Soul.

More of Next Episode Previews dubbed in English:

#18 - http://youtu.be/GlXWCeCt0Ck
#19 - http://youtu.be/D9eCfGyIKq0
#20 - http://youtu.be/mJWQyiEQwEo

Beats me why FUNimation didn't include them on the DBGT Digitally Remastered Season Sets (they could have synced with the original music). :x

Concerning the opening, It is possible to cut Dan Dan down to 1 minute.

Blue Water GT opening - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPDP3S4dYcY

Funimation could've done this with Bit by Bit.

Sorry, but...

I'm pretty sure I've seen you make this mistake a couple of times recently, so I don't think it's a typo.

It's supposed to be "could've". It's a contraction of "could have". "Could of" doesn't mean anything. Again, sorry, but it's just a pet peeve of mine, and it seems you (as a mind numbingly large number of others) think it is the wrong thing. :(
