Yup. The saturation was one of the main reasons I hated the "re-mastered" movies FUNimation put out. I didn't think the previous DVD movie line was so bad though, but I do like the movies in widescreen and those weren't. But, yea...

Vegetto EX wrote:"Dragon Box: The Movies" are in a cropped 16:9, and have a far more consistent video remastering from legit 35mm film sources, not to mention the proper audio masters.
Whether they're "legit" or not, FUNi used 35mm film sources, too.
The footage from the Movie Packs and the Steelbooks(especially the Blu-Rays) is nice and crisp. The Dragon Boxes are grainy as pasta on wholemeal bread. The Blu-Ray Steelbooks shit on the Dragon Boxes all day everyday! The Dragon Boxes ain't bad they're just to 'grainy' and not crisp like. The audio issues are a thing of 'YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE ALTERED THE MUSIC IN THE FIRST PLACE!' Kind of thing. Also, about the angle, you can just get the singles.

Sounds like -- yet again -- another case of, "I have no idea what I am talking about". How long are you going to keep this up in this community? You waltz in, you criticize things you don't understand, and when you're informed, you back-peddle and look for reasons to lash out against products you don't have any investment in what-so-ever.
It's getting old. It's getting ridiculous. Please stop, or please leave.

Sorry, but I don't understand what you wanted to mean by that at all. Are you getting paranoid about criticisms toward dub scores or something? I ain't talking about the English dub.

I didn't make a lot of sense sorry for that. I meant the Japanese audio quality is obviously bad because the settings are mono, not the other format(Stereo)

Mono can still sound good. Stereo generally sounds better, but that's not to say mono automatically means bad.

You've obviously never seen the Dragon Box in person. The Movies have the best remaster of any DBox, of any DB movie releases, and of almost any DB release. Ever.
Not to mention the Dragon Box is extremely crisp, much more so than the Double Features.

Dragon Box The Movies are the best, they have way better quality compared to the series.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Yet again, you have no idea what you are talking about. I suggest you buy a Dragon Box Movie single and judge the mono quality (or stereo for movie 13 and the DB Anniversary film). You'll be amazed on the high quality of the original audio.

Indeed. Probably not the fairest comparison considering the movie's age, but in that regard, it's probably a greater showpiece for the Dragon Box version than anything else:
DB Movie 1: FUNimation Single DVD vs Dragon Box

UnbiasedDBZfan, that's enough. You are clearly incomprehensible to the larger community. If you are not going to make your points clear, we are going to be unable to have a conversation with you.
This is your final warning in all regards. You are not polite, you are not clear, and half the time you are flat-out wrong in what you run in to declare before running away again claiming no-one is listening to you.

Anyway, how 'bout those Movie Packs? :p Even with these out do you think we'll still get the Dragon Box or are we gonna have to wait till these are discontinued? I guess it's possible they'll put it out since the Orange Bricks were still in print when the Dragon Boxes were being put out.
