"Saibai" is Japanese for "cultivate"
Still, you'd know it was a pun on Saiba-man, so I can understand "Cultivamen", "Cultimen" and variations thereof.

Vegito: What do you call a Goku & a Vegeta? Gogeta sounds nice.

But is it "Saibaman" or "Saibaiman" in the Japanese version?
Where's the beef?

 Thanks for clearing the whole 'Cultivar' thing up, I just thought it was odd, seeing as how 'Saibaman' is used in all the games and anime, but that's Viz for ya!

Anyone unfortunate enough to own the edited volume 9? If so let's see a scan! I'm interested to seen how Viz touched up the image.

I'm curious to know if any of the previous or later books were changed with edits. I can imagine that Goku would end up being bare down there. >_>

What about Gohan not having his "parts" after his Ohzaru transformation? I wonder If they'll just continue this on all the books... Anyone know of other edits under the new Viz Media banner?

That would mean Gohan and Goten couldn't exist!

Well, I've noticed some anatomical incorrectness in Dr. Dlump volume 3...

Anyway, it's times like this that I'm grateful we have a bigger taboo against sex than violence, since I don't think think there's any more nudity in the remaining three Dragonball Z installments. Viz doesn't censor violence, right?

Apparently not, after seeing Bellemere's murder in Shonen Jump... Poor Bellemere!

Anatomical incorrectness... Japanese or Viz?

And they painted out 17's gun. Take that as you will.

The Japanese version is fine on anatomical issues, so was Viz until recently, when they realized that penises are offensive to some people. :?

As for #17's gun...It's fine for Arlong to stick a gun to Bellemere's head, but #17 wearing a gun is evil?! What the fuck?

Shonen Jump Monthly doesn't seem to have any problems with violence, nor the Graphic Novels. The scene of Son Gohan ripping the Cell Juniors apart is fully intact and disturbingly amazing.

As well as a scene in Yu Yu Hakusho where Toguro kills this guy by flicking his forehead, sending the contents of his head all over the place.

Sorry, should've been more clear. They editted out his gun when he held it to the old man's face. I think it was in the last chapter that ran in SJ. Instead, much like the running joke in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters dub, it looked like he was pointing at him. ._.;

True. It just looked like #17 punched the old guy off camera. Plus, one of the Cell Games title pages has edited Z-Senshi shaking their fists at Cell (the original had middle fingers).

Just when you think the anime and manga industry is headed in the right direction... this shit happens! I think what really gets to me is that Viz is so damn inconistent with their censorship...

And the sad thing is, FUNi is now allowed to show DBZ uncut on Toonami. It almost seems like the Viz of 1999 and the FUNi of 1999 have switched places...

I'm very dissapointed with Viz...

They still have the old print at my local Barnes and Noble. I can't wait to see this wonderful edit!
