Re: Do you think Vegeta actually loves Bulma?
Just to clarify, I WAS joking. I don't think Vegeta gave the slightest of shits about Bulma until the Buu saga.
Oh, you think the Grand Tour is your ally, you merely stepped into the Grand Tour. I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn’t see the Super until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding!

Don't forget Vegeta wasn't the only one to think lightly of the relationship, at first. Bulma has that line about "I don't know where he's at, do you think I'd live with that jerk?"
Also, Trunks's original story to Goku describes them as never really settling down, "you know how my mother is."

"Goodbye Bulma, Trunks, and yes, even you Kakarot" totally says it all I think toward the Buu arc. Early Vegeta in the Android arc could care less for her. But I think he eventually learns to love her and even Trunks and Kakarot in a certain way only a cold-blooded Saiyan warrior could love someone. He's no Romeo, but I really believe he loves her, just not one to really show it all.

Well, he said that they never married, telling Goku that "you know how she is". Humorously, to which Gokuu replied while staring shocked over at Vegeta and Bulma's direction, "Actually...I don't. But it is hard to see her married..."FindKenshi wrote:Don't forget Vegeta wasn't the only one to think lightly of the relationship, at first. I doubt it was more than a one-night stand anyway. And then gradually, over those 7 years in which Vegeta and Bulma alike bonded with Trunks (and Bulma saw Vegeta's "good side" through the occasional amusement park trips with Trunks), they began to love each other through him.

Yes what? You've had two of these simple "yes" posts. Are you just responding to the initial thread's question, or something since then? There have been two pages of responses, so it's not clear. We do ask that you add some clarity to your posts, so we're just looking for a little something extra, here! Thanks.Relight wrote:yes

Re: Do you think Vegeta actually loves Bulma?
I was responding that 'yes', Vegeta loves Bulma, and another 'yes', that Vegeta loves his son Trunks.

Re: Do you think Vegeta actually loves Bulma?
By the Boo arc, I think he clearly does love Bulma and Trunks too. I was reading the whole Goku and Vegeta fight last night and it's clear... But he just doesn't want to admit he's found happiness with them and constantly has to rebuff Goku (and more probably himself) to try and convince himself otherwise. He's got such an internal battle going on within himself...
It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.

Re: Do you think Vegeta actually loves Bulma?
Of course he does, being that Bulma was the first person to truly understand and care for him.
Vegeta may not have openly embraced it but he did. He let his true feelings out during the Buu Saga.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.
