I don't think Super Buu's eye color change was a mistake, Gotenks punched Buu in the face, which caused Buu's eyes to turn red. I guess it was to show how pissed Buu got after that.

Krilin, you little pervert! xD Nah is just the angle.

Then Buu stayed pissed for the rest of the series, right?
No, the real reason is that Toei had fucked up going ahead and coloring Buu's eyes white, and later they realized that Toriyama intended his eyes to be red, so they had to change it at some point. That punch in the face was a good opportunity, although it didn't make much sense.

Some more mistakes from the episodes after the Cell Game:
-The King's nose is supposed to be black.
-Gohan's belt and wristband are red instead of blue.
-Tenshinhan's wristband is green without the red lines.
-Piccolo's abdomen is missing the red line.
-Piccolo's red wrist is way too long. They colored red parts that were supposed to be pink and green.
-Piccolo's ankle colors. The left one is supposed to be part of his pants.
-Mr. Satan's eyes should be blue.
Image
-The old man shoots at #17 with his 6 bullet revolver, but he fires 8 times.
-Trunks' eyes have double pupils, when they should be plain green.

I remember that error with the old man and I was going to host it up but I got kinda lazy and figured ''eh it's not an animation error just one of those things'' :P

His eyes are always an error in the anime. Or I guess it's just like a Goku's skin color in Z kind of thing...

In Dragonball, his eyes were white at first, then every other episode were white, and then finally Toei decided to give him no whit in his eye.

Error Type: Incorrect (early?) Animation

Appears in: Movie 6

Description: In the credits animation, we see a shot of Goku from earlier in the movie, only his colors are incorrect. His chest is colored blue, and his shirt which is supposed to be blue is colored orange. One can only assume that the credits were animated before the movie was finished.

It's worth noting that since FUNimation's "textless" version of the credits on the "Double Feature" DVD was made using clips from the actual movie, this error doesn't appear on there.

As the error appears in the credits:

Also, I don't know if this qualifies for the thread or not since it pertains to the dub, but I'll post it anyway.

Error Type: Dubbing Error due to Aspect Ratio.

Appears in: Movie 6

Description: When Goku turns Super Saiyan, FUNimation had Schemmel yell during the first shot we see of Super Saiyan Goku. However, in the fullscreen version, we see that his mouth is closed. Perhaps FUNimation dubbed the film using the widescreen version?

One that sticks in my mind when I watched DBZ Movie 9 in Japanese for the first time was after Gohan transforms to SSJ2 and right before killing Bido and Bujin, the animation shows him powering up and screaming yet Nozawa's voice does not coincide with it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... SCw#t=207s

The English dub did include an actual scream in that scene however.

I'm pretty sure that was just a stylistic choice. Kind of fits with the rest of the ambience in that scene.

Feels like every time Goku does a KamehameHa in GT it's an error. (At least in his child form) His pose is always off and his hands are always so far apart, it just seems like a random ki attack...

A few times after Ginyu switches bodies with Goku, Goku-Ginyu has fangs and pointed ears. Which obviously he shouldn't have.

1. Goku takes off his wrist braces.
2. They reappear and then vanish in a moment.

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.
