Dragon Book Question (Movies & Gohan's SSJ Form)

Recently someone told me (that) in the Dragon Book (the movies) there is some content written (stating) that in "The Dangerous Duo! Super-Warriors Can’t Rest" (Dragon Ball Z Movie 10) Gohan used SSJ2 to fight with Broli.

Can anyone tell me is it real? If it is real, can anyone tell me more details about this part?

Whoever that someone was, they're completely wrong. There's nothing in the Dragon Book concerning Gohan going Super Saiyan 2 in the 10th Z movie. The book is very basic, only providing very brief descriptions of the overall plot and some of the main characters. There's nothing in-depth and the book uses screen shots, so it's exactly what you see in the movie itself.

On a side note, I simply "love" that some people will just pick a random guide book to use as evidence for some "power level" theory they have, knowing full well that most folks don't have access to it, nor can they actually read it if they do. I'm just assuming this is the case behind this story, but I've been wrong before.

What you may be thinking of is this concept artwork for Gohan in the movies. Though I'm not sure which guidebook it's from, the designs for teenage Gohan on the right side strongly imply that there was an intentional difference between Gohan's SSj and SSj2 appearance, inspired by the forms' appearances in the manga. Thus further suggesting that Gohan was indeed intended by the creators as using Super Saiyan 2 against Broly in Movie 10. It's not a direct statement like whatever you were told, but it's still pretty strong evidence.

That is the character design for Gohan by Tadayoshi Yamamuro as printed in the "Library of Adventure" in Daizenshuu 6. I thought about mentioning it, but didn't really want to bring that whole discussion up again.
