A sequel to Budokai Tenkaichi 3? Huge character roster? Nothing like Ultimate Tenkaichi?

Fuck yes.

But please... PLEASE make faithful cutscenes like the ones we had in Budokai 1. That's all I want.

Do you think they will be sticking with the Z Kai voices for this game?

Thank Yemma that the next game isn't Part 2 of Ultimate Tenkaichi, I don't think we would have survived another paper-rock-scissors situation.

I'll be buying it, I enjoyed BT3 and haven't bothered hooking up my PS2 since I got my PS3 to play the older games.

EDIT: So should we expect scans over the weekend or after Monday? Please let it be someone besides Goku/Vegeta/Krillin/Piccolo to be shown off.

And with that JP arcade game getting all those characters, that is PLENTY to add on, not to mention all of the ones added to RB2.

It really depends on the people with the magazine. We could possibly see scans by the end of the day, or more likely by Monday. According to numerous Japanese blogs the promo includes images of Goku and Vegeta in Super Saiyan 4, so take that for what it's worth.

The title of the topic left me like "the hell is this?" and then opened a link with this "New Dragon Ball Z Game For PS3 And Xbox 360 Is The Final "Budokai" Title" lol

As long as Spike's with Namdai there'll be Budoukai Tenkaichi's for all eternity.

This might actually be a good game, or just an upgraded version of RB2 with "new" stuff.

A BT game with UB graphics would be cool, I'd suppose.

Traditionally we hear about what's coming in the magazine three days before its release, and then scans start to pop up later that same day. I'd expect things to show up this afternoon.

I just now heard about it from DRAGONBALLPROTEST on YouTube. I can't wait to see how this game turns out. Hopefully it has more playable characters than Meteor did. Maybe they'll even give Mirai Gohan the correct model and voice this time. Who knows.

I'm also hoping for some new interesting "What-If" stories in Story Mode.

What's wrong with his model & voice? They seem fine to me.

It's the same thing every year, a new DBZ game is announced, fans get hyped up and then it turns out to be an entirely different thing.

Spike's Spike perfection can't be expected, but flawed games can. I just hope this year they'll release demo of the games for the public too, not just for the game conventions.

Don't get me wrong, I'm kind of interested in this new game, but no real expectations, to be honest.

Thing is though, Budokai 1 actually made you feel like you were watching the show, with recaps, title cards and next episode previews to boot.

It was essentially indeed the same story we have heard before but it was from a different viewing perspective.

If they could replicate this with the new Budokai Tenkaichi, it's a first day purchase for me.

His English voice in Meteor is Kyle Hebert. His original English voice is actually Dameon Clarke. They got lazy and used the Gohan model for his model which is why he doesn't have one arm.

Oh, you are talking about the dub voices. I prefer the Japanese ones, that's why I didn't know what you were talking about.

The video games are based on the anime. We have seen Future Gohan in the anime with both hands. Why keep the incomplete model, while we have the complete model available?

So if this is the OFFICIAL sequel to the Budokai Tenkaichi series, this will probably be named Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 4 in Europe and America, no?

Yeah. I'm sure the English dub will be based off the Kai voices though.

That's true. I just think it would be interesting to be able to fight with only one arm. I'm hoping they somehow could throw in a different version of the model with just one arm as well as the complete one.

People need to get over the fact that his voice has sort of been "Kai'd", not only to maintain consistency with his other self, but because Clarke doesn't voice in the games anymore, not even Cell.

BTW, as has already been stated, he has both arms because we see him with both in the anime. He does indeed only use the one arm in his attacks and combos, but he will never have a 1-armed costume for compatibly reasons. MANY of the characters in game have attacks and throws that involve grabbing the opponent by the left arm, and it would be extremely wasteful to code animations just for use against Future Gohan. And, if they just removed it anyway, everyone would complain how ridiculous it looks that Gohan gets caught in the attack by an arm he didn't have.

Eh, I wouldn't be so sure if it's just FUNimation Kai voices, look at Ultimate Tenkaichi's English dubbed version...

Dameon Clarke's last game as Cell was Burst Limit, IIRC, because starting from RB1 to UT it's been Travis Willingham.

That makes sense now. Thanks for helping me understand that better.

I would SO want faithful cutscenes again. There will be more of the series covered [presumably] so thats extra stuff we havent seen in cutscenes befoe and it will be a jump to the new graphics. I'm all for beautiful cutscenes if they are done right. I'll start at Goku and Bulma and end with Goku Jr vs Vegeta Jr if they gave us that.

I have to agree. I'm all for them cutscenes. And hopefully they do give us all the way up to Goku Jr vs Vegeta Jr. I've always wanted to play as Goku Jr.
