There is the debate about Gohan vs Dabra that will go on for ever, and we are not sure in GT when/if Vegeta or Gohan use their SSJ2 forms.
I suppose it depends on where it's mentioned. There could be a note in trivia about the controversy over whether he was SS1/SS2, or just a note stating that Daizenshuu 7 has it as SS2.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Mentioning both in trivia is the best choice I believe.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

His hair was like SSJ, as well as his aura in the manga. If you want to discuss this, go here.
The question was, will we call them SSJ or SSJ2?
Okay thanks.

Lets just make sure we have a source for concrete things like power levels. I was on the DB wiki reading the King Kai page, they had his power level at 3,500 and claimed it was a weekly jump page that listed it as so but didn't name a specific issue for which one can personally verify nor a reference section.

Of course. Good citations are a must for any wiki, which is just another reason that the Dragon Ball Wikia is unusable as a resource.

For the record, that battle power for Kaio is from the 31st issue of Weekly Jump, released in 1989.

Its still good to now what issue it comes from since anyone with good photoshop skills pass off any fanfiction as a weekly page if it doesn't include the the issue number.

Being that one of our biggest (and clearly legitimate) complaints with the various Dragon Ball fan wikis is that they're full of fabricated, unsourced bullshit... yeah, having OCD-level citations really isn't going to be an issue for us :).

Would the idea of a "wiki" section on the forum be useful?

So instead of clogging up the "talk" pages with discussion, like Dragon Ball wiki, we can decide, argue and debate on that specific forum.

Well, Wiki's normally have talk pages on them, which is where the discussions for the individual pages would go. There only things that would be discussed here would (I imagine) be overall Wiki discussions, but I dunno if they should be on the Wiki itself as well.

Also, I'd say that arguing whether Gohan was SS1 or SS2 during the Dabura fight is, in order of things to do regarding the Wiki, somewhere around number 736,241. Although, since no-one asked, I'd handle it by doing the episode page, then putting a comment in the trivia section saying "there is great debate as to whether Gohan was SSJ1 or SSJ2 during this fight. Supporting the first argument are bullet point bullet point etc, and supporting the second are bullet point bullet point etc."

The point of a wiki is to show the facts. In situations like this where there is argument and controversy, you have to show both sides. With situations where there is a clear answer "Goku and Turles are brothers", you mention that it is a popular rumour, and then show why it is a lie.

I think its coming from the fact when Cell regenerated his tail when it was ripped off by Android 16, the fluids released were dissolving the ground.

I know, but numerous interviews and Japanese sources including the staff listing on the Toei website say otherwise, the credits are simply misleading he was the author of the original story which it was based on. It's not very hard to comprehend, I tried explaining it to them but they were too insane. Its common knowledge Akira Toriyama did not write GT :I we actually know who wrote GT, Aya Matsui, Funimation did a shitty job translating the credits, use translate on the staff listing of Toei's GT website if you don't believe me.

Yes, his actual credit would be "original author", Funimation obviously failed to reproduce the credits correctly.

When we wrote "soon", we didn't mean "soon" in Internet-time. We meant it in real-life-time.

It's not the priority. The actual site is.
