Let's just agree to disagree.
He definitely said the entire word, just he did it really badly.

Yeah, just because his diction isn't that good doesn't mean he isn't saying it. He also says "secreh-weapon".

Oh of course, it's just a good half of those swears were moments where a "No!" or a "Aw man...!" would have sufficed- as they did in the Nicktoons version. Making a big deal of getting swears in the dub only to have someone give the same reaction to their ultimate move being foiled as stubbing their toe (Which isn't worth a "damn"- pun- to begin with) often negates any effect cursing has. Sure, a lot of properties forget this, but their all in the wrong for it.

Just like Dragon Ball since Chapter #4.

If he didn't say "shit", why is the uncut version different from the TV version? If there was no "shit" there shouldn't be two different versions of that scene.

To my ears it sounds like shit, why in the world would they even have them say "shiiiiii"? And besides you can hear that it sound at the end.

I agree with you that he did say "shit". But, even if he didn't they would still replace it because it just sounds like "shit".

The fact that the voice clip was replaced must mean that Funimation intentionally put some form of profanity in there.

Maybe they made the shit slightly inaudible on purpose to get away with a PG rating? Could be the same case with Vegeta muttering it. Even TV-14 seems to be shaky about using that word half of the time. Obviously, even a half inaudible curse word is too much for Y7 which is why they changed it for that. If you want to be technical, they censored Zarbon saying 'Son of a....' so they couldn't even get away with ALMOST curse words.

I wish they didn't remove the score :( then I bet sales would have been a lot better and they could have continued to the Buu saga and redone the entire series. I also think editing the blood from the Raditz scene turned a lot of people off who weren't willing to do the research to find out that was only 1 of 2 instances of minor censorship neither of which were because they wanted to make it less violent, if that was the case the numerous even more violent scenes throughout the show would have been censored as well. Kai didn't deserve to fail, it was so awesome, its something I always wanted but unfortunately these things had to happen, maybe they'll fix it eventually.

But that's just it. It was completely different line on TV, it was only in the Uncut version you can hear "shiiiieeea/shit".

I said so they could get away with a PG rating. The TV version isn't PG rated, the DVD is, the TV version is rated Y7 which is why they couldn't get away with a half audible curse word.

Wait, what? I don't recall Vegeta saying that word in any form outside of the Abridged series and, even there, it's bleeped.
