Genderswap would only mean their sex is changed. I would leave the same personalities either way.

Goka? -- Sweet and joyful girl (with brain damage?) who wants to beat the crap of bad people and better than anyone else, just because. lol
Bulme -- Genius boy who falls for any nice pair of legs in a skirt, ala Johnny Bravo. No lolis, he never makes an advance on Goka.
Yamcha -- (keeps the same name!! LMAO) Rogue/delinquent teenage girl that is very, very prude (closet perv) and can't even touch a boy without blushing and squealing.
Launch- Young man that changes from a well behaved, nice and sensitive guy to PTS army veteran personality.
Master Rosha - Old woman who is serious most of the time, but chases young handsome men left and right. Creepy persistent.

Piccola- A loner who is torn between the duty her Mother (Queen Piccola) entrusted her to do (kill Goka, conquer the world) and making her own destiny (Gohan).

Vegeta -- (Keeps the same name too) Mercenary with no regard of people's life that only respects power and class. Cold. Elitist. Proud.

The only I have trouble with is Chichi because he would need to keep the same "cheerful" personality from before they married and not become a strict bossy husband... It simply wouldn't work that way with Goku as a female.
Check out Journey's End, a short story of Goku and Vegeta's final days. "Time is running out for the last two Saiyans"

Chichi would be the breed-winner and Goka would be the one making the sammiches and cleaning the place....although not particularly well but mostly because of her childish personality.

It would goes something like this:

Chichi: Bitch, this chicken is cold. *throws dish* Make it again!

Goka: Not with that attitude.

*Chichi scolds Goka*

Goka: Okay, cool your jets grumpy. I'll make it.

Chichi eventually gets fed up with his wife incompetence and starts getting harsh with Gohan's studies.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

It could also be because she doesn't exactly behaves like a "mother" and just plays around with Gohan. Sure, she would love her child, but parenting skills were never exactly something Goku was well known for. 9_9

Uhm, and maybe Chichi wants Gohan to be a very intelligent, delicate and well mannered lady. Oh God, I can even imagine the pink dress equivalent of this:

Hey, I guess I finally get to do my own way of writing genderbent Dragon Ball characters. I'm taking soulnova's approach and leave the character's personalities the same (though maybe change some in order to fit their changed gender roles) However, I'll keep some of the names relatively the same.

Let me start with the first bit of characters:
(female) Son Goku/Kaka*: Mostly the same as regular Goku; a sweet, kind-hearted, selfless, naive and tomboyish girl/woman who loves to fight, train, eat and find new challenges. However, you could add some jokes about Goku not really the "feminine" type of person (ex. Not really one to dress up or wear makeup, really bad at cooking, etc.)
*"Kaka" is meant to a more feminine shortening of "Kakarot". If you find it lame, please tell me (in a construtive manner, thank you.)

Bloomer Briefs: Same as normal Bulma; spoiled, vain and a massive flirt (or in this case, a "playboy") He can show feelings of embarrasment at having female friends/significant others who could crush him like a grape.

Krilla: Same personality as normal Krillin; a great friend who's helpful, couragous and always stand by you're side. She, like normal Krillin, dreams of finding "the one" and getting married. Feel free to also add in some (comical) angst about not being the most attractive Z-Fighter.

(female) Piccolo: Still acts like the same, stoic and formally evil badass like normal Piccolo, except having a lack of an understanding about how human females act or do things. Like normal Piccolo, she shares a relationship with Goha (female Gohan) similar to an aunt and niece (or mother/daughter if Goku's not around)

(male) Chichi: Like normal Chichi, starts out a painfully shy Momma's boy (son of Ox-Queen/female Ox-King) who dreams of getting married and develops a massive crush on Goku to a hot-headed, over-protective, strict but fair husband/father who struggles raising two half-alien daughters and handling his often-irresponsible, fighting-obesssed wife. He is also a bit of a sexist (not intentionally, but that's how he was raised I guess); he thinks marital arts are dangerous for girls and expects Goku to basically "learn how to be a real wife" He does mellow out, like normal Chichi though.

(female) Vegeta: Same as normal Vegeta; arrogant, hot-headed and filled with Saiyan pride. Probably be a lot haughtier than normal Vegeta though. She'll look down on the normal standards of Earth females and isn't exactally the nuturing type of mom (kinda like normal Chichi, only probably a lot harsher and looser with her rules around the house), except around her son (male Bra).

Well, I'll do the other characters later. Hope you tell me what you guys think of these :)

So, after reading three pages I've concluded that if the DB male characters were females, they'll be exactly the same except without dicks. As it should be.

Gokuman, I would also add something like this for female Vegeta.

Bloomer: "Would you cook something nice for us?" :D
Vegeta: "Do I look like your servant?" *dangerously narrows eyes*
Bloomer: "Dining out it is then!" 9__9U

Allright, here's a continuation of how I'd write Dragon Ball characters if they were Rule 63'd
(female) Master Roshi: Like old Master Roshi, she'll be a wise, grandmotherly-type person who despenses great advice and encourages her students to live fun and free lives, as well as using their power and skills to protect people. She'll also be as much of a pervert around attractive men as normal Roshi is around attractive women (though the poor dude's reactions wont be as violent as how a female would react; it'll more or less be "creeped out and yell 'get away from me!'" than "punch/slap or kick them silly")

Launch (male Lunch): Like normal Lunch, his "good" self would be an introverted, shy and gentle person who's pretty good at handling the house (kind of a wimp though) and his "bad" self is basically a big bowl of male testostrone. As usual, he's female Master Roshi's "boy-toy." Still has a massive crush on (female) Tenshinhan.

Son Goha: Same personality as normal Gohan; shy, studious and very pasifistic. Also quite socially awkward when she grows up. She'll serve as kind of a foil for her mom Goku; she's better at cooking, cleaning and has a much better handle at acting like a lady. However, she is still brave, selfless and willing to fight to protect others.

(female) Future Trunks Briefs: Like normal Future Trunks, she is a stoic, quiet warrior who won't give second thoughts when eliminating an enemy. She's also still somewhat shy, polite and prone to be a little awkward at time like normal Future Trunks. Since she never knew her mother, she express dissapointment at learning that Princess Vegeta isn't exactly the kind of person she thought she was.

(female) Present Trunks Briefs: Like normal Trunks, she'll be arrogant, spoiled and reckless when a little girl. She takes great pride in her mom and aspires to be like her. When she grows up, she has humbled and becomes much kinder. Has a great, long-lasting friendship with Son Gota (female Goten)

(female) Tenshinhan: Like normal Tenshinhan, she starts out as arrogant and haughty, but quickly becomes a loyal and selfless ally to Goku and friends. She'll still be bald and have three eyes, though. Has quite a sisterly bond with (female) Chaozu (that can border onto a yuri relationship, like normal Ten and Chaozu and their "friendship")

(female) Yamcha: Like normal Yamcha, she'll start out as a dangerous and deadly bandit who has a great fear for boys, then becomes one of Goku's loyal friends. Like normal Yamcha, she's midly arrogant and is probably the more "feminine" of the group. However, she'll have more "balls" in her relationship with Bloomer; my headcanon is that, during their courtship, she was secretly annoyed by Bloomer's flirtatious behavior and wild accusations of her cheating on him. She took all in stride, until she finally and quite brutally dumped him once she learns of his own developing feelings for a certain Saiyan Princess....

Son Gota: Like normal Goten, she has a personaility like her mother during her youth; gentle, kind, naive and loves to fight and face new challenges. Also, she's quite the "daddy's girl" when around (male) Chichi and, at first, felt a little uneasy when she meets her dead mother* for the first time. However, once she grows up, she grows less interesting in martial arts and more interested in boys and...."other girl stuff."
*To explain as to how a female Goku gave birth to Gota during the Cell Games, let's say she was actually born during the three year training period along with (female) Trunks (however, she's probably still a year younger). If you want to provide a better explaination, please do :)

I'll be back with more characters soon! Hope you enjoy reading this post (please tell me what you think, though :D)

Not really, Chichi also means "father" in Japanese.

Goku and Vegeta would be using a fuck ton of testosterone injections and would be gay for each other. Piccolo would look the same.

If they're Saiyans, why would they need testosterone injections? And why would they be gay for each other (implying that Vegeta wasn't already gay for Gokuu originally, but whatever)?

And yeah, I believe Piccolo's genderless, although he and the rest of the Namekians all look masculine (since "genderless" in drawn fiction still basically appears as what is perceived as the default gender: male). So I guess you could just give him some eyelashes and a more slender figure.
