Ooh, they must be abridging the Broli movie early! He's the coolest villain!
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! I'm hyped for Movie 5. I've been waiting for TFS to do Movie 5 ever since they did the Bardok special.

Wow, I just realized that it's over 2 years since TFS abridged the Bardok special. Where does the time go?

Well TFS is apart of Channel Awesome, CA video producers like The Nostalgia Critic and Phelous for example have been using ads in their videos now. I'm not surprise that TFS videos have ads now.

I can't wait to see how they handle Cooler in this, especially since they'll probably continue from how they've done him so far in the few clips he's in.

Also...I, I found this. Not even Abridged can escape Ponies...apparently...

Yes, but tfs is not for profit unlike the rest of ca. If they make a profit off of dbza then it's illegal. Plus, if you look up, then you would notice that even kaiser does'nt know why there are ads.

I was just thinking about the joke in DBZ Abridged: Lord Slug with the guy asking if Piccolo was Batman before he defeated him. Has anyone actually made any "Piccolo as Batman" fanart?

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

With the next season coming up, I have to really wonder how they'll handle Mr. Satan. He's pretty much already an Abridged character as it is. I guess they'll do a bunch of Hercule jokes but aside from that it'll be a nice surprise to see what they can pull off.

And Friendship is Magic is one of the best cartoons I've ever seen in my entire cartoon watching life. And considering watching cartoons is pretty much my entire life, that says something.

It's definitely a well-written show, biggest issue I run into is when a fanbase that's trained to be defensive about it's existence sees conflict where there is none.

FiM is one of several shows (like One Piece and Hyouka) that I've been following along with but I've never actually done anything for. I think if I'd actually grown up with one of the earlier versions, I might have done something because of nostalgia, but I was in the targeted age range in-between series, so it never happened with me. The current one kind of reminds me of The Powerpuff Girls from the early 00's, and I do know some of those involved also worked on that show. As for characters, the unofficial two I like are Dr. Whooves and Derpy; even though I have little to no familiarity with Dr. Who. For official characters, it'd be Pinkie or Rarity.

I don't remember how I found out about the show though. I'm tempted to say the Arlong Park forums, but I'm not 100% sure. It was some time last fall.
On hiatus.

Last year, there was a mini-Bronycon thing going on at Youmacon (there was a dedicated segment in the Video-Audio Track, and several cosplayers). At that time, my only exposure to the series was through the Bob and George forums, as one member there was contributing sprites to the Desktop Ponies project, and when those sprites included a bag of flour and a pile of rocks on a stool, he linked me to the clip of Pinkie Pie's meltdown "party". It wasn't until a little over a month ago that I finally gave in to my curiosity and started watching the series (both seasons are up on Netflix, and it kept recommending it). Needless to say, I got hooked.

I'm curious to see if there will be any brony representation at this year's Youmacon.

A sign of how my mind works is that, since TFS finished episode 30, I've been able to imagine Goku stopping by Ponyville on his way back home.

The introduction of Mr. Satan is a good opportunity to make the hundreds of thousands of casual Funimation dub fans aware that the H-word is not his real name. As a show that is watched by countless fans of DBZ and has a huge influence on the series, you could change the future of good ol' Mark Satan. If you choose to that is.

Didnt they already reference Hurcule (or however its spelled) isnt his real name in episode 30? Been a bit since i've watched it but I'm pretty sure they did.

EDIT: NOW I see why you wrote H-word
I enjoy the Dragon Ball original AND Dub, even the VHS Fan-Sub's.

They referenced him, yes, but they have the opportunity to drill it in our heads. If they use Mr. Satan enough, we may rarely ever hear the H-word in fandom ever again.
Usingnero wrote:EDIT: NOW I see why you wrote H-word
Haha no, the name filter didn't change what I wrote or anything. I literally wrote the "H-word", because that's how I use his name in regards to this series. :D
