I hate all the Kai's. The Supreme Kai, this Kai, that Kai, pink Kai, purple Kai. They're all so boring. Except for King Kai. That's why he's King, right?

But I like how Elder Kai made Supreme Kai his bitch.

Of course, my theory is that while Goku does essential fight for fun, the bigger picture is that he's saving the world. That's why Chichi getting angry comes off as selfish and touch rather than comedic.

The closest I can think of is Vegeta post-Freeza for obvious reasons, Kuririn in the Cell arc for not destroying #18 with the remote because of a fucking kiss, and Gohan at the Cell Games for suddenly deciding that he was going to become a pacifist in the middle of a life-and-death battle when his father and everyone else were counting on him to save the planet and then giving up after Cell had broken his arm until Gokuu encouraged him from the afterlife (in contrast to Gokuu, who, even after having all but one of his limbs broken, still mustered up enough energy to blast a giant hole through Piccolo Daimaou's torso).

Oh, I’ve got more, actually. Pre-Boo arc Mr. Satan, the Cell Games announcer, and the population of Earth who hung on Satan’s every word like he was their fucking god. I’ve never found those segments funny, especially with Mr. Satan’s repetitive “It’s a trick!” gag that makes both himself and all the other humans on Earth look like complete retards for forgetting everything Gokuu and co. did at the previous tournaments, as well as just openly insulting them for “getting in the way of the world champion”.

And for a while, I hated Pure Boo with a passion because he kept defeating me in Budokai 2 and Shin Budokai’s story modes, which led to me going to training mode, putting him on “Do nothing” mode and just beating the crap out of him with LSS Broli. Ah, good times. I don’t hate him now, though.

Well Chi Chi is somewhat of a simpleton who is very overprotective of her son (like most mothers are), She just doesn't understand the circumstances at hand and/or Gohan's vital importance in these battles. To her these battles are something Gokuu and the gang will take care of, certainly not something for a young boy. All Chi Chi knows is that she has to be a good mother, so letting her young first born out on a battle field, no matter how "important" he might be.

Gaffer Tape (or Mistare Fusion) wrote a very convincing analysis on Chi Chi's character. (Its his first post on the thread.)

I recently got Budokai 2 for the ps2 and I could not defeat Pure Boo with full health. I had to weaken with one characer then defeat him with another. I sacrificed Gohan and Vegeta and killed him with Goku(only cause Goku had the most lives). Why is he so hard. I had a much easier time beating Bootenks.

Any way back on topic i would like to add the Pilaf Gang as hated characters of mine. They are just so annoying and really should die. The best part about Pure Boo blowing up Earth was that they died with it. Even watching Dragonball in Japanese they still get on my nerves.

I don't know. I guess it's because he's the final boss. It doesn't help that Budokai 2's gameplay is pretty clunky too.

Babidi. Not because he was a villain, but because he was flat out annoying. Even after he witnessed Boo get blasted through the stomach (IIRC) and regenerate it (among other instances like this), he still manages to freak out every time the slightest bit of damage is done to Boo: "Oh no... Majin Boo!!!"

I know that Dragon Ball, especially Z, is full of these overreactions, but Babidi is the most annoying IMO.

Also, just for the heck of it, it's "Yajirobe" (no "i" at the end). I know FUNimation's original English dub of the series says it aloud with a long "ee" sound at the end, but even they don't spell it that way.

Chi-Chi was about to give her the worst ass-whopping in Dragon Ball history after Maron called her an 'ugly old auntie-san' but unfortunatly, Kame-shinnin prevented it (in the most perverted way possible). Maron was okay-ish at first but she ruined the Garlic Jr. fight and some of the Android Saga in the anime for me.
