Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

That scream is classic! I love the little "bloop" sound when he goes Super Saiyan, it's a nice little addition.

Schmmuel does SS3 screams more authentically than Nozawa, I swear, like his voice can go places hers can't- which in this case it probably does. Sean always sounds like everything ever is breaking in unison, which is not only the point, but it's being the point turns the entire charge against the original Funi dub's screaming on it's head.
The one instance in the series- or at least much greater than the runner-up- where the series being almost entirely in mono is just criminal.

Nozawa's first time SSj2 Gohan.
Drummond's "Wrath" scene for Ocean.
Schemmel's Movie 12 SSj3 Goku transformation.

The problem with some of the Funi's Z dub screams is if the screams are really long, they only record a short intense one, and edit the audio so that overlaps with either the same recording or a different one to make a long scream.
I can think of it happening at least twice. Nadolny's first-time SSj2 Gohan transformation and Schemmel's first-time SSj3 Goku.

Schemmel's SSj3 Goku in movie 12 was a genuine full out scream. No overlapping or editing of any kind. His Kai first time SSj Goku scream was pretty good and gutteral. Probably one of his best in Kai.
I wipe it off the tile, the light is brighter this time, everything is 3D blasphemy.
My eyes are red and gold, the hair is standing straight up, this is not the way I picture me.
I can't control my shakes, how the hell did I get here? Something about this, so very wrong.
I have to laugh out loud, I wish I didn't like this. Is it a dream or a memory?

Mine would be japanese SSJ 2 Gohan powering up in front of Kibito at the Tenkaichi Budokai. The BGM was awesome as well!!

And I also like when Krillin and Gohan power up in front of Gurd of the Ginyu Toksentai. But the Ocean dub of course!! (anybody remember "Let's turn up the heat")
I'm a DB veteran thats paid my DB dues!!

Schemmel's Movie 12 SSj3 Goku transformation

Good god that scream is just intense! And the Nathan Johnson score is just perfect for that scene.

Latin Gohan SSJ2, actually pretty close to the Japanese.

Check out Journey's End, a short story of Goku and Vegeta's final days. "Time is running out for the last two Saiyans"

That scream Drummond does when Vegeta finishes powering up to 18000.

Slightly OT but I made a montage of Sean Schemmel's screams as Goku over the years.

Schemmel's SSJ3 scream the first time he transforms. I'll never forget the first time I saw that.

I have the say my favorite scream ever is probably when Goku goes SSJ3 in the French version when it comes to dubs, but in overall, Ryo Horikawa has a lot of great screams as Vegeta.

Nozawa's SSJ3 Goku scream in movie 13, with the scream breaking apart the buildings.

Incredible.

The quality of the audio is poor because it's sourced from a bad copy (optical track). They likely threw the tapes for the voices away, which is why the TV eps sound like crap. kei17 has the vhs recording original broadcast of this episode, and his version's audio quality sounds way better than any DVD release. TOEI keeps flagging his account though so I don't think you can find it anymore.

Stereo would have been better but ultimately the audio quality is the major flaw of this version, not number of channels.

I do know that. Was just using the Mono as an encompassing term for the fact that the audio was badly preserved.

Very well, your original quote reads differently though.

One of these days I need to get the audio track from kei. He had the clip on youtube and it sounded really good. As usual, his accounts keep getting flagged.

I have a few comparisons on my Youtube channel comparing between the Dragon Box and recordings of the Master Audio.
